Crossville Chronicle obit... Roland Aytes March 25, 2004 The Rev. Roland Aytes, 93, formerly of the Frankfort community, passed away March 25, 2004 in the Cumberland County Medical Center. He was a resident of The Cumberland Ridge Assisted Living Center. He was a Methodist minister for more than 40 years in the Holstan Conference, with 18 years in Dandridge. Survived include his children, Elise Hook of Baton Rouge, LA; Willis Aytes of Knoxville; Anna Aytes of Denver, CO; and Costen Aytes of Denver, CO; sisters, Ruth Lee and Roberta Wampler; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Laura Neskaug Aytes, his wife of more than 50 years. Funeral services were conducted March 29 from the chapel of Schubert Funeral Home of Wartburg. Interment followed in the Frankfort Church Cemetery. Schubert Funeral Home of Wartburg was in charge of the arrangements.
