    2. >From The Oak Ridger 4 Mar 2004 Betty Lou Slagle Pogue, 77, of Oak Ridge, Linnie C. Coleman, 100, of Oliver Springs, formerly of Rockwood, Wauldine Hebert, 85, of Solway, \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Betty Lou Slagle Pogue, 77, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Born Feb. 11, 1927, in Knoxville, she was the daughter of Roy Albert Slagle and Mildred Reeder Slagle. Mrs. Pogue was a member of Robertsville Baptist Church. Her family said she was very devoted to her family and friends, and she loved traveling, reading and participating in the Elderberries and the Oak Ridge Senior Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen Marguerite Pogue. Mrs. Pogue is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles Hugh Pogue; her daughter, Charlotte Jones and husband, Stoy, of Oak Ridge; her son, David Pogue and wife, Teresa, of Oak Ridge; and by her grandson, Stoy Charles Jones, of Oak Ridge. Marilyn Bullock, Jack and Betty Forseman, Owen Killeen, Millie and P. J. Marlino, Famie and Herschel Simcox, Celeste and Joe Varagona and Marion Wiseman, are considered special friends. According to her family, Mrs. Pogue especially enjoyed the drawings and poems sent to her by Dorothy Gibson while at Briarcliff Health Care Center. The family said they would like to thank the staff of Briarcliff Health Care Center and Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge for the care and compassion they gave Mrs. Pogue during the last years of her life. The funeral was to be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2004, at Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Dr. Michael Prince officiating. A private graveside service will be at Lynnwood Cemetery in Knoxville. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Linnie C. Coleman, 100, of Oliver Springs, formerly of Rockwood, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at home. Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs is in charge of arrangements, which were incomplete at press time. Wauldine Hebert, 85, of Solway, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004.
