MURRAY, MR. JAMES F. "BILL" - age 79, a resident of the Petros Community, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007 at his home. He was born September 13, 1928 in Rossville, GA. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Rossville, GA. He worked as a Quality Control Manager for Combustion Engineering for 30 years. He served as chairman of the Democratic Party of Morgan County. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Floyd and Gussie Murray. He is survived by: his son, Gary Murray and wife, Lola of Wartburg; daughters, Cindy Von Achen and husband, Tom and Terri Mayes and boyfriend, Jim Stubbs; grandchildren, Shane Murray of Missouri, Shaun Von Achen and wife, April of Coalfield, Shannon Mayes of Missouri, Meagan Reynolds and husband, Jason of Knoxville and Catelynn Stubbs of Petros; three great-grandchildren, Kara Von Achen, and Brianna and Ricky Allen; special friends and extended family members, Polly Woodward, Danny Ray Daugherty, Ed Seibers, and Ardeth Higgins. The family would like to say thank you to Covenant Home Care Hospice. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 25, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Ronny Jones officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 26th, in the Wartburg City Cemetery.
