JENNINGS, DEWEY, 65 of Sunbright, passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007 at Life Care Center of Morgan County. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Jennings was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Hester Flowers Jennings; brothers, Clarence and George; sisters, Aleen and Lealla. He is survived by his sisters, Dollie Hammond of Wartburg, Maude Jennings of Sunbright and Rosie Watson of South Bend, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Melton was born February 4, 1928 in Morgan County. She attended the Full Gospel Church of Martinsville. She was self employed as a private duty nurse and enjoyed quilting, sewing, listening to gospel music, canning and going to yard sales. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Troy Melton; parents, Samuel and Lissa (Hickman) Lee; brothers, Clarence Lee, Jesse Lee, Arnold Lee and three infants; sisters, Elva Howard and Cordie Hickman. Mrs. Melton is survived by her son, Robert James Melton of Maryville; daughters, Sandra Kay Lush Kennedy of Plainfield, Ind., Sheila Fay English of Bainbridge, Ind. and Janie Ann Bennett of Martinsville, Ind.; brother, Dennis Lee of Lancing; sister; Ina Heidel of Oakdale; granddaughters, Nina Mann and Jessica Turner; grandsons, Russell Lush, Jason English, Ryan Melton and Bradley Melton; and six great-grandchildren.
