LONGMIRE, MRS. NORA, age 71 of Sunbright, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2007 in the Roane Medical Center, Harriman. She was a member of the Covington Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her sons: Justin Lay, Darnell Lay, Johnny Lay, Tony Lay, and Arlie Lay; and a daughter, Charlotte Lay She is survived by children: Terry Lay of Robbins, Billy Lay of Knoxville, Katherine Lay of Lancing, and Chris Longmire of Sunbright. Brothers: Carl Harness of Cleveland and Everett Harness of Oneida. Also a very special companion of 18 years, Chester Northrup. Sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 9, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Webb and Rev. Charles Northrup officiating. A graveside service will be held Wednesday morning, at 11 a.m. in Covington Church Cemetery.
