BROWN, MR. JOHN CLAY "JOHNNIE" - age 53, died Friday evening, June 22, 2007, at his home in Petros, TN. Johnnie was a member of Union Baptist Church and retired from the Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge, TN. He was a member of the Black Diamond Masonic Lodge, Petros and a member of the Union Baptist Church and a loyal U. T. Vols fan. He was preceded in death by his father, D.C. Brown. Surviving: wife, Gwen Griffith Brown; daughter and son-in-law; Christy and Trae Shipley, of Columbia, SC; mother; Joyce Brown, of Petros; step-daughter; Maranda Cook, of Sweetwater, TN; step-son and wife; Jammie and Kelly Mann, of Oakdale; grandson; Landon Shipley; step grandchildren; Tytus Conley, Dylan Mann, Katelyn Mann; brother; Terry and wife, Wilma Brown, of Petros; sister; Sandy and husband, Larry Boshears, of Coalfield; special cousin, John and Peggy Pennington of Oliver Springs; special niece, Melinda and husband, Roger Jones; nephew, Larry David Boshears; great nieces, Tabitha Jones, and Talleessee Jones; great nephew, Taylor Jones and a host of step-nieces and nephews; sisters and brothers-in-law; Randy and Mary Ann Hood, Charlotte and Glen Justes, Eddie and Crystal Griffith, Connie Wyatt, Danny and Tina Griffith, Curtis and Jenny Diden, Doug and Terri Griffith, Jerry and Betty Hood. The family will receive friends Sunday evening June 24, 2007 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow with Dr Jim West. officiating.
