She was born Oct. 30, 1926, in Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Auerbach graduated from the University of Chicago with a BS degree in Library Science. She was a librarian at Chicago's Museum of Natural History. She married Dr. Stanley Auerbach, former director of the Environmental Sciences Division at ORNL, in 1954 and moved to Oak Ridge, Tenn. Mrs. Auerbach volunteered in many activities including Oak Ridge Children's Library and the YWCA. She was an active patron of the arts and member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife and mother. Survived by four children: Dr. Andrew Auerbach (wife Jinhee), Wichita, Kan., Anne Auerbach, Nashville, Tenn., Jonathan Auerbach, Lyons, Colo., and Alison Auerbach, Nashville, Tenn. Also survived by granddaughter Tori Auerbach, Wichita, Kan., and cousins Katherine Shirley, Stonington, Conn., and Susan Server, Key West, Fla. Mrs. Auerbach was preceded in death by husband, Stanley; mother, Erin Davey; and brother, Denis Davey. Services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Monday, June 26, at 10 a.m. with Father Michael Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Linnie Daugherty Bunch, age 82, a resident of Devonia, went home to be with the Lord, June 22, 2007, at her home while surrounded by her family. Linnie was born Aug. 11, 1924 in Anderson County. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a homemaker, and a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. In her earlier years she enjoyed fishing and camping with her husband, and quilting. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Monroe Bunch; by a daughter, Irene Lowe; by a son, Ronnie Bunch; by a grandson, Terry Lowe; by her parents, Columbus and Kizzie Carroll Daugherty; by a brother, Carl Daugherty; by a sister, Lou Dena Daugherty; and by a brother-in-law, Hugh Von Fritts. She is survived by daughters, Fay Bunch and husband, Verldon, of Devonia, Alene B. Phillips and husband, Verldon, of Lake City; sons, Stanley "Moe" Bunch and wife, Loreen, of Devonia, Hugh Vaughn Bunch and wife, Karen, of Devonia, Hubert Lee "Bear" Bunch of the Stevens Community in Morgan County, and his former wife, Donna; grandchildren, Tommy Lowe, Matthew Bunch and wife, Surinda, Jason Bunch and wife, Joy, Allison McKeehan and husband, Kendall, Mark Phillips and wife, Miranda, Travis Adam Phillips, Leeanne Bunch and companion, Paul White, Pamela Hensley, Karla Patterson and husband, Doug; great-grandchilden, Tiffany, Chelsey, and Tameka Lowe, Jessica and Jasmine Lowe, Ethan and Haley Bunch, Matthew Jr., Cierra, and Lillian Bunch, Courtney, Madison, Alivia, and Christian Phillips, Katelyn Nicole McKeehan, Emily, Alex, and Nicholas White; one great-great-grandchild, Jaxon; sister, Aletha Fritts of Griffin, Ga. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, special friends, and extended family members. Mrs. Chippendale was born Jan. 30, 1951 in Evanston, Ill. She was a long-term volunteer and employee of the Appalachian Chapter of the American Red Cross. She was an avid reader; she loved all creatures large and small; and she especially loved her daughter and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Roy Porter and a daughter, Heather. Survivors include her husband, Scott Chippendale of Oak Ridge; mother, Mabel Porter of Illinois; father, Lloyd Lasher of Wisconsin; daughter, Michelle Lee Creveling and her husband, Jeremy of California; two brothers, Richard Lasher of Maryland and Steve Lasher of Illinois; sister, Nancy Bost of Illinois; two grandchildren, Kathryn and Riley Creveling, both of California. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at 4 p.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Bailey Norman officiating. A brief reception will follow at the church. Marianne Henderson, 87, of Oak Ridge, passed away at her home on Saturday, June 23, 2007. She was born Feb. 27, 1920 in Arcadia, Missouri to Joseph Leo and Eulalia Susan Rosentrater Tong. She was an administrative employee for the City of Oak Ridge for many years. Mrs. Henderson was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was an active member of St. Lucy and St. Therese Guilds and Oblate of St. Benedict. She was an accomplished seamstress and a long time member of the Monday Meld Canasta Club. Mrs. Henderson was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a best friend and mentor to her children. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Edward Henderson Sr., a brother, Rev. Paul Tong, and two sisters, Drucilla Gansz and Helen Cheaney. Survivors include, three children, Gloria Woodall and husband, Doug of Claxton, Harry "Bud" Henderson Jr. of Knoxville, Thomas Henderson and wife, Melissa, of Killeen, Texas; one brother, Richard Tong of Ironton, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, Rebecca Woodall, John Woodall, Matthew Woodall, Bro. Mr. Redmond was born Aug. 4, 1914 in Lexington, Mississippi to Robert Redmond Sr. and Elizabeth Redmond. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Redmond was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and enjoyed all types of music and loved to sing. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar Redmond and Sam Redmond, and four sisters, Lilly Davis, Annie D. Rule, Idella Redmond Black and SueElla Gibson. He is survived by his wife, Eleaner Redmond of Oak Ridge; one son, Robert Redmond Jr. and his wife, Ruby, of Goodman, Mississippi; one sister, Willie Patton of Chicago, Illinois; three grandchildren, Anthony Scales of Oak Ridge, Marvin Redmond of Chicago, Illinois, and Ramona Redmond of Jackson, Mississippi; three great-grandchildren, a special friend, Willie Cale of Oak Ridge, and a host of other family members and friends. Warren Garvin Stephenson, age 63, of Clinton, passed away suddenly Thursday, June 21, 2007, during his sleep from an apparent heart attack. Growing up on his parent's farm in the Dutch Valley Community, Warren always enjoyed being in the 4-H and the Boy Scouts. After graduating from Clinton High School in 1960, Warren attended Carson Newman College and later Tennessee Tech. Warren was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Warren had several business interests through the years, among them Office Design and Equipment, Concord Floor Covering, and for the last 20 years he has owned and operated Blind Ambition, installing window treatments throughout East Tennessee. He is preceded in death by parents, Garvin and Lillian Stephenson. Warren is survived by: brother, William "Bear" Stephenson of Clinton; uncle, Bobby Clack and wife, Betty Faye, of Oak Ridge; and several cousins. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements. David Jason Williams died tragically when his motorcycle left the road on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, in Oak Ridge. Jason was born Nov. 7, 1972 at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia, but he was raised in Claxton and Oak Ridge, graduating from Oak Ridge High School in 1991. He was the son of Betty and Bill Williams of Oak Ridge. After a long journey, he was well on his way to a successful life filled with friends, accomplishments and hope. He was most recently employed by Tennessee Tool and Engineering, but was currently attending Roane State, working toward a degree in Environmental Science. A member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, he had recently joined the Knights of Columbus. Jason was an avid University of Tennessee fan and outdoorsman who loved boating, fishing, golf, softball, hunting and camping, especially the annual hunts each fall with his uncles. Known as Muffin to his friends, he had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved being with his friends, school and travel. He could fill a room with his presence and few met him that will ever forget him. He was preceded in death by his father, Dave Millsap, grandparents Lee Millsap, Donna Williams, Bill and Grace Williams, and MC "Red" Wiest, to whom he was especially close. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmother, Marie Wiest of Oak Ridge, brothers, Merritt and Patrick of Oak Ridge, Tony of the U.S. Navy, stationed in Atsugi, Japan, serving on the USS Kitty Hawk; aunts and uncles, Bob Wiest, Mick Wiest and Teri, and John Wiest, all of Oak Ridge, Tom Wiest and Barb of Powell, Mike Williams and Daphne of Knoxville, Shelley Williams of Knoxville, Dee Warner of Harriman; his special friend Leigha Stewart of Oak Ridge and her daughter, Ella; cousins Anne-Marie Wiest and Adrienne Wiest, Dan and Julie Wiest, Christy Jackson and Jessie DiFranco, John Michael Wiest, Michael Williams, and Adam Bellows. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. William Oruko officiating and the Rev. Michael Woods, co-celebrant.
