>From The Oak Ridger 15 Aug 2007 Willie Lee Hughes, age 35, a resident of Kingston, Billie Elaine Morris, 80, of Heiskell, Glen McCoy, 47, a resident of Kingston, Alfred K. Yarborough, 69, a resident of Rockwood, Willie Lee Hughes, age 35, a resident of Kingston, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, in Kingston. Mr. Hughes was born May 25, 1972, in Austell, Ga. He and his family moved to Harriman in 1975. He had lived in Roane County since that time. Lee was a carpenter working in the construction business. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, Elbert Stanley and Linda Boruff Hughes of Harriman; daughter, Candace Nicole Hughes of Wartburg; sons, Bryson Lee Hughes of Harriman, and Mason Gabriel Hughes of Harriman, stepdaughter, Ashton Scott of Kingston; grandmother, Virginia Jo Hughes of Harriman; brothers, James Stanley Hughes of Harriman, and Anthony Jason Hughes and wife, Melissa Kay, of Harriman; sister, Stacy Renee Harvey of Kingston; nieces and nephews, Tasha Hughes, Christopher James "CJ" Hughes, Gage Hughes, Chelsey Hughes, Jacob Harvey, and Garrett Harvey; and special friend, Donnie Joe Hill of Kingston. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. The family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 8 p.m. with Pastor Garvan Walls and the Rev. Nick Hill officiating. Born March 28, 1927, in LaFollette, she was the daughter of Flora Wells and Floy A. Wells Sr. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, where she sang in the choir. One of her greatest joys was singing for the Lord. She was a retired florist. Her hobbies included flower gardening and oil painting. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Morris is survived by her husband of 58 years, Carl Morris Jr.; six children, Linda Morris, Karen Gambrell and husband, David, Paul Morris and wife, Debbie, Glenn Morris, Susan Smith and husband, Jonathan, and Mary Black and husband, Gary; 15 grandchildren, Alex Gambrell, Mandie Nageotte, Sarah Morris, Stephanie Morris, Cassidy Morris, Adam Morris, Kristin Smith, Sarah Smith, Hannah Smith, Elisabeth Smith, Dylan Black, Andrew Black, Robby Black and Jennifer Murray; and five great-grandchildren, Alexys Morris, Kailey Nageotte, Jake Gambrell, Christina Murray, Caleb Murray and Tristian Black. She is also survived by her sister, Doris Pierce; her brother, Floy Wells Jr.; her sister-in-law, Charlotte Smith; and by her mother-in-law, Winnie Morris. Special extended family members include Denver Nageotte and Melanie Tackett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Staff Sgt. Daniel Morris, who was killed in action in Iraq on Nov. 25, 2006. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. A service, entirely in song, will follow at 8:30 p.m. in the chapel. The family invites everyone who knew and loved her to participate in the tribute by joining them in singing a number of the hymns she loved so well. Her eulogy will be read by her eldest daughter, Linda, and a memorial prayer will be offered by her eldest son, Paul. The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Anderson Memorial Gardens on Oliver Springs Highway. Glen McCoy, 47, a resident of Kingston, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
