CHEEK, SIDNEY, 56, of the Coal Hill community of Morgan County, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, in Scott County Hospital, Oneida. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Mary Cheek. Survivors include son, Franklin Cheek; brothers, James Cheek of Dayton, Mike Perkins and Albert Cheek, both of Harriman; sisters, Movita Hart of Oakdale, Sarah Brock of Dalton, Ga., and Leota Hamby of Lancing; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, in Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Funeral service will follow. Graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Coal Hill Cemetery. [Roane County News] --------
