    3. BOWLIN, ELDON, 60, of Oakdale, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007, at his home. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.Hi was preceded in death by parents, Dave and Ruby Johnson Bowlin; great-grandson, Brian Peters; brother, Louis Bowlin; and grandparents, Michael and Mary Bowlin and Sam and Luvernia Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Mamie "Susie" Bowlin; daughters and son-in-law, Mary Bowlin and Barbara and Jamie Brown; granddaughters, Trisha Maxwell and Erica Kilgore and fiancé, Markus Peters, all of Harriman; brother, Leroy Bowlin of Oakdale; and sister and brother-in-law, Arleva and David Lee of Oakdale. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, in Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Graveside service, with military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard, and burial will follow at Piney Cemetery, Oakdale. [Roane County News] -------- CRANDALL, MAURICE, 79, of Deer Lodge, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2007 in the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mr. Crandall was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, 7th in a family of 10 children, to the late Henry and Charlotte Pearl Jones Crandall. He was a retired educator with the Seventh-Day Adventist School System after thirty-five years of service, having taught; Music, English, Bible and Library Science. He was a member of the Morgan County Choral Society and the Oak Ridge Community Band. Mr. Crandall is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Betty Schmidt Crandall; daughters, Laurie and husband Ross Raneri of Omaha, Neb., Melody and husband David Schreck of Garretson, S.D. and Starla Crandall of Philadelphia, Pa.; special grandchildren, Jason and Allison Anders of Collegedale, Tn.; special daughter, Ashley Lunkenheimer of Philadelphia, Pa.; sister, Doris Pettigrew of Carmel, In.; brothers, Dale Crandall of Columbus, In., Vincent Crandall of Orlando, Fl. and Glen Crandall of Asheville, N.C.; a host of nieces, nephews and very close friends also survive. Memorial service was held Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 4 p.m. at the Meister Hills Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Pastor Harold Kuebler and Pastor Joe Blevins officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Meister Hills Elementary School, 1145 Meister Hills Rd, Deer Lodge, TN 37726 or the Alzheimers Association, P.O. Mr. Jennings was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Hester Flowers Jennings; brothers, Clarence and George; sisters, Aleen and Lealla.He is survived by his sisters, Dollie Hammond of Wartburg, Maude Jennings of Sunbright and Rosie Watson of South Bend, In.; and several nieces and nephews.
