    2. >From The LaFollette Press 2 Aug 2007 Trina Michelle Bond, age 37 of Clinton, Delcie Jordan, age 79, of LaFollette Dorothy Dove Davis Metzler, age 85 of Jellico C.L. "L.V." Metzler, age 74 Mossie Phillips, age 93, of Ooltewah, Tn., formerly of New River, Dilla J. Robinson, age 67 of LaFollette formerly of Clinchco, VA Trina Michelle Bond, age 37 of Clinton, woke up in the arms of Jesus on July 27 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Bond. She was survived by her loving children, Angela Bond; sons, Horace and Charles Taylor, Robert Martin, Josh and Nick Bond; daughter in law, Linda Bond; grandchildren, Seth Martin and Marcus Bond; parents, Jerry and Sharon Mayes; sister and brothers in law, Tina and Marvin Hurst and Rhonda and Lawrence Seiber; brother and sister in laws, Judd and Sissy Mayes and Charles Mayes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who loved her dearly; special friends, Bobby Neyland and Tim Shephard. Funeral services were held July 31 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mitchell Wilson officiating. Interment was in the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at Lyons View in Knoxville. Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. LaFollette Press Aug. 2, 2007 Delcie Jordan, age 79, of LaFollette passed away July 26 at St. Marys Health and Rehab. She was a member of the LaFollette Church of God and retired from Imperial Reading after many years of service, where she was Union Steward. She was preceded in death by parents, Joe and Cora Jordan; brothers, John, Leonard, Kermit, Pryor, and Joe (Bud) Jordan and Minton Wilburn; sisters, Loretta Comer, Odessa Cox, Pernie Kitts, Eliza Manning, Pansy Roberts, Mary Johnson and Dorothy Chadwell. She is survived by her brother, Conday Jordan of LaFollette; sister, Callie Taylor of Bloominton, IL; brother in law, Earl Roberts of LaFollette; special friend, Gladys McCulley of LaFollette; a great host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held July 28 in the Cross Chapel with the Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Interment was in the Peabody Cemetery. Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. LaFollette Press Aug. 2, 2007 Dorothy Dove Davis Metzler, age 85 of Jellico passed away May 11. She was preceded in death by her husband, William John Metzler; parents, Bob and Nancy Davis; brothers, Arvil and Bobby Davis; sister, Cleo Brown; son in law, Ralph Baker. She is survived by her sons, Billy Metzler of LaFollette, Tommy Roger Metzler of Jellico and Bobby Lee Metzler of Roses Creek; daughters, Nova Maxine Metcalf of White Oak, Lois Baker of LaFollette, Lorene Carroll of Tussycut, Vivian Marlow of Tussycut and Donna Frazier of Chaska; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; special friends, Alex and Francis Leach; a host of family and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services were held May 13 at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with AB Forman and Ray Maiden officiating. Interment was in the Metzler Family Cemetery. Harp Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. LaFollette Press Aug. 2, 2007 C.L. "L.V." Metzler, age 74 passed away at his home in Kissimmee, FL surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 15, 1933 in LaFollette and moved to Florida from Michigan in 1970. He worked as a dry wall contractor for many years. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid deer hunter. He is survived by his wife, Gedena; son, Michael of Kissimee, FL; daughters, Stacy Harris of Wauchula, FL and Christina Smith of St. Cloud, FL; sisters, Mary Lou Stewart of Delano, TN, Helen Ridenour of Jacksboro, Aileen Hatfield of Tipp City, OH and Wanda Keele of The Villages, FL; six grandchildren. Funeral services were held July 16 at the Lock Haven Baptist Church in Kissimmee, FL with Pastor Jimmy Franks officiating. Interment was in the Osceola Memory Gardens. LaFollette Press Aug. 2, 2007 Mossie Phillips, age 93, of Ooltewah, Tn., formerly of New River, passed away July 26 at the home of her daughter. She was born Aug. 1, 1913 in the Lige's Fork Community in Anderson County to the late John H. and Martha Carroll Phillips. She was a member of the Grave Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jibby Phillips, sons, Laymon and Arther Phillips, grandsons, Terry Lynn Phillips, and David Pierce, son in laws, Robert Pierce and Hurstle Leab, brothers, Everette, Ellis, Walter and Charlie Phillips, sisters, Monie Jones, Verdie and Lou Phillips. She is survived by her daughters, Gladys Leab of Lake City and Ollie Pierce of Ooltewah, TN; grandchildren, Gary, Randy, Rhonda, Robert, Dana Pierce and Gwen Swafford, Randall and Angela Leab, and Tracy Jewett; 13 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren; best friend, Bessie Phillips of Devonia; several other relatives, and many friendsFuneral services were held July 29 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Justin Phillips and Wayne Phillips officiating. Interment was in the Tommy Phillips Cemetery in New River. Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. LaFollette Press Aug. 2, 2007 Dilla J. Robinson, age 67 of LaFollette formerly of Clinchco, VA for 18 years and Honolulu, HI for over 30 years, passed away at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County in LaFollette. She was a member of the Kilohana Methodist Church in Honolulu, HI, and was a former legal secretary. She is survived by her daughter, Malia Coke and husband, Jeff of Bethlehem, PA; brothers, Danny Adkins of Clinchco, VA and Rick Adkins of Cape Coral, FL; sisters, Dreama Latherow of Ft. Myers, FL and Andy Flemming of Richmond, VA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held July 27 at Clinchco Union Freewill Baptist Church in Clinchco, VA with Rev. Larry Petersek officiating. Interment will be in Honolulu, HI. In Lieu of flowers family requests that memorials be sent to the Arthritis Foundation, P. O. Box 96280, Washington, DC 20077 or the LaFollette Rescue Squad, 149 Childs Lane, LaFollette, TN 37766.
