Edna Mae Clotfelter, age 87 of Jacksboro passed away July 26 at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Campbell County. She was a member of Jacksboro United Methodist Church. She was in the Army having spent time in Germany and Korea having several medals. She was a member of homemakers club and the women's auxiliary AKA the pink ladies at the LaFollette Medical Center. She enjoyed gardening her favorite flower was a carnation. She loved her family very much and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Clotfelter; parents, Robert and Elizabeth Campbell Barr. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Joe Ben and Tina Marie Gregory; granddaughter, Lauren Belle Lane all of Knoxville; step children, Delbert Jr. and Lisa Clotfelter of Jacksboro,. Georgia and Charles Sampson of LaFollette, Brenda and David Thomas of LaFollette; grandchildren, Lynn Daugherty of LaFollette, Eric Mason Clotfelter of Jacksboro, Cheyenne Thomas of Jacksboro; great grandchildren, Steven Daugherty of LaFollette, Bobby and Michael Russell of LaFollette, Katelyn Clotfelter of Jacksboro; niece, Margaret and George Riggs of Jacksboro; grand niece, Mary and Don Wilson and great great niece, Jessie Wilson all of LaFollette.Funeral services were held July 27 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with the Rev. Lyle White officiating. Interment was in the Campbell Memorial Gardens with the Campbell County Honor Guard in charge of the graveside services. Eastridge was born January 21, 1928 in Briceville to the late Minnie Marlow Lloyd and Wayne Lloyd. She peacefully passed away Aug. 3 in LaFollette. She raised four children; Janice Davis of LaFollette, Ricky Lloyd of Sidney, OH, Banner Eastridge of Miamisburg, OH and Cecil Eastridge of Eagan. She was married to Tom Eastridge of Bryant Store, KY for 25 years until his death on March 3, 1971. She lived in Florida for a number of years working for Helping Hands Living Assistance. She attended Gospel Tabernacle Church in Auburndale, FL and later took up residence in LaFollette where she attended Faith Tabernacle Church of God. She was preceded in death by brothers, Wayne Lloyd, Jr. and Freddy Matthew Lloyd. She is survived by Geraldine Spencer, Magdeline Ivey, Fay Griffith, Eugene Lloyd and Troy Lloyd. She is survived by her grandchildren, Sherry, Trisha, Tony and Penny, Jimmy, Steven, Melissa, Heather, David, Douglas, Tommy, Donna, Sandra, Pam, Ricky, Lisa and Chris. She also has great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral were held Aug. 4 in the Cross Chapel with Rev. LaFollette Press Aug. 9, 2007 Effie Goins, age 82 of the Bethlehem Community, LaFollette passed away Aug. 5 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was a faithful member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church for over 70 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Goins; parents, James and Pearlie Parker Willoughby; son-in-law, Charlie Jones. He is survived by his daughters, Alison Harp and Amy Harp and their mother, Elizabeth Harp, all of Knoxville; brother, Jim Harp and wife, Brenda of Somerset, KY; sisters, Wilma Harp and daughter, Angie Douglas of Jellico, Sue Queener and husband, Frances of Somerset, KY; a host of aunts, uncles and other friends and family to mourn his passing. He was born Sept. 22, 1950 to Arvel and Ruth (Hawn) Henderson. For 33 years, he was employed by General Motors until his retirement in 2001. For several years, he took great pride as an active participant in local fundraising efforts for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. For him, family and friends always stood as sources of fulfillment that he forever cherished. The time spent with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews was something in which he always found great happiness and joy. He indeed, was a lover of life, and he truly appreciated the experiences it had to offer.He was preceded in death by father; Arvel Carl Henderson. He is survived by his wife, Penny; daughter, Tina Perry, of Tampa, FL; sons, Ray Henderson, of Holland, and Michael and Charles Monica, both of Toledo; grandchildren, Alexa and Dalton Perry; mother, Ruth Henderson; sister, Vicky Henderson and brother, Tony Henderson. She retired after many years of service in the nursing field from St. Mary's in Knoxville. Sue was a loving and caring person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. "L.V." Nelson, age 74 passed away at his home in Kissimmee, FL surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 15, 1933 in LaFollette and moved to Florida from Michigan in 1970. He worked as a dry wall contractor for many years. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid deer hunter. He is survived by his wife, Gedena; son, Michael of Kissimee, FL; daughters, Stacy Harris of Wauchula, FL and Christina Smith of St. Cloud, FL; sisters, Mary Lou Stewart of Delano, TN, Helen Ridenour of Jacksboro, Aileen Hatfield of Tipp City, OH and Wanda Keele of The Villages, FL; six grandchildren. She loved attending church, going to yard sales, and going fishing, and spending time with her family. He was of the Baptist Faith and loved to fish. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.
