She graduated from Battin High School in Elizabeth in 1932 and served as a commercial law secretary for the Prudential Insurance Company. In 1937 she married Zoltan Rudolph Erdody. In 1942 they moved to Roselle, New Jersey, and joined First Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School. She also served as a Den Mother, Assistant Girl Scout Leader, and P.T.A. President. She worked at Roselle Park Trust Company. In 1958 she and "Rudy" moved to Asheville, North Carolina where she was employed by Asheville Radiological Group as a medical transcriber. In 1972 they moved to Knoxville and joined First Presbyterian Church where she was an active member. She attended the Rosa Scott Sunday School clas! s and regularly participated in the meetings of Presbyterian Women where she was awarded an Honorary Life Membership. She also served on the Member Care Committee and as chair of the Night Prayer Chain. She loved knitting and made many baby sweaters for family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, and baking. She loved being around her family including her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was happiest when she was helping other people. She spent the last three years of her life in the Shannondale Retirement Community where she stayed in close contact with her church friends and residents and was grateful for the support of the Shannondale staff. TENNYSON, EMMA LEE KEENER - passed away at Baptist West Hospital December 26, 2007 after a difficult 3 year battle with cancer, at the end she was led by God's gentle hand. Emma Lee was the heart and soul of her family and their success is largely due to her loving care, sacrifice, and guidance. She held a genuine concern for the health and welfare of her friends, neighbors and many she came in contact with. She was an avid reader, lover of animals and had a passion for helping those in need. Emma Lee Tennyson will be sorely missed and remembered fondly. Born July 31, 1940 in Dalton, GA she was educated in Dalton, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Sweetwater and Cleveland State Community College. She was a retired Realtor from Century 21, Robinson Realty.
