    2. PRATT, SHERMAN W. - age 92 of Knoxville passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at his home. Member and Deacon of East Sunnyview Baptist Church and also attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church. US Navy veteran of WWII who served his country in the Atlantic and the Pacific. Retired from R. E. Express Co. He fought the good fight, kept the faith, and finished the course. He is now in glory with our Savior. Saved at a young age at Mt. She was a member of Seymour United Methodist Church. Among her many ministries, she found much joy in the Celebrate Recovery and Lost Sheep ministries. Norma also considered Relay For Life to be an important and meaningful part of her life. A 14-year employee of Sevierville Police Department, Norma also found time to serve in many capacities at the Friends of the Kodak Library. Survivors include her: husband: David E. EDNA MARIE PHILLIPS age 93, of Wartburg, passed away, Wednesday, December 5, 2007, in the Life Care Center of Morgan County. She was born September 20, 1914 in Huntsville, Tn to the late Harrison and Bess Parker Phillips. She married Garnet Sanderson in 1934 and moved to Morgan County in 1935. She spent 14 years in Gobey and her remaining time in Wartburg. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, Wartburg for 65 years serving the Lord daily with kindness to all she came in contact with. She also was a past matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Wartburg. She later demitted to the Petros Order. Mrs. Sanderson retired in 1980 from the Highland Telephone Cooperative in Sunbright, after 25 years of service as one of the cooperatives first four employees. She enjoyed her association with her life-long friends and relatives. She represents a generation that devoted her life to her faith, her family and her country. She was preceded in death by her husband:! Garnet Sanderson; brother: Virgil Phillips; sisters: Edith Phillips and Wilda Eastham; nephew: Harold Dean Phillips; and grandson: Robert Dean. VESTER, MOLLIE ELY - 75, of Knoxville died at Parkwest Hospital December 3, 2007. She was a member of Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church and former member of First Presbyterian Church of Knoxville. Mollie had a childhood love of horses which became a lifelong interest. She attended the University of Tennessee where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and then worked for Land Title Company and, later, East Tennessee Title Company prior to retirement in 1995. She had multiple sclerosis but it did not define her; she lived her life with joy and a rich sense of humor. Atria Weston Place Assisted Living was her home for 12 years where her many good friends among the residents and staff became her second family. While at Weston Place, she was one of the original "Red Hatters" in their Red Hat Society. He was born on May 25, 1944 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Elmer P. and Annie G. Wagoner. He was a graduate of Austin High School class of 1963. He enlisted in the Air Force and served four years of active duty and later served eighteen years in the reserves reaching the rank of Master Sergeant. He worked as a draftsman for Union Carbide/Martin Marietta/Lockheed Martin, retiring in 1997. He later worked as a security officer for five years at TVA in Knoxville. He was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church for almost forty years. He loved his church and served on the deacon board, trustee board, usher board, Male Chorus, Sanctuary Choir and as Sunday School Superintendent. He also used his talents to happily build any prop that was needed for special children's programs. Billy was a police man and a fire man while living in Lake City. Yon and son, Peter V. Yon. She was a graduate of ETSU and was an elementary school teacher for over 40 years. Claire retired after 20 years at Mt. Olive Elementary School. She was a delegate to The National NEA Convention for many years and received one of the 1991 Knoxville B.E.S.T. awards. Claire was a member and past president of K.C.E.A. and member of T.E.A. She was a member of Mt. Vista Garden Club, Timberlake Garden Club and a former president of Knox County Counsel of Garden Clubs. Claire was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School class. She enjoyed her bridge club, the Retired Teachers Association, and her Bible study class and was a former member of the Sweet Adelines and the Knoxville Seniors' Choral Group. Claire was an energetic and progressive e! ducator and affected the lives of countless children. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
