She was a member of the First Baptist church of Dandridge. Mrs. Clark retired from Dollywood after 17 years of service in 2003. She grew up in Clinton, TN and married at the age of 17. She and her husband Gene lived in Knoxville for 39 years and moved to Dandridge in 1983. She and her husband were active in the Knoxville Square Dance Association for many years and in the water aerobics at the Jefferson City Senior Citizens Center in recent years. Mr. Daugherty was a World War II Veteran. He was a life long member of Rutledge United Methodist Church and taught the adult Sunday School class for twenty-five years. He was the Grainger County agriculture extension leader for the University of Tennessee for thirty-one years. He was an avid crappie fisherman. Mr. Daugherty was a loyal member and supporter of Lions Club. He will be remembered for his famous barbeque chicken recipe and cook-offs. He loved University of Tennessee football and had season passes for over sixty years. Mr. Daugherty also loved and supported the 4-H Club Foundation. His greatest pride was his family and his greatest love was his wife, Mrs. Ellen Faye (Ma Ma). They celebrated their sixty-third wedding anniversary the day he passed away. Mr. Daugherty is preceded in death by his father and mother, Abraham and Lovella Daugherty, numerous br! others, one sister and many life long friends. Marc attended Hanes Middle School and graduated from Mt. Tabor High School in 2001, where his love for music was cultivated. He attended Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL and graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina, Columbia in 2005. He was currently in his second year of graduate studies in Music Performance at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Marc's love for the Lord and music were woven together. He was an active member of the orchestra and youth group at Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a college intern and returned each summer as a camp counselor. In Columbia, SC he was active in the First Baptist Church as a music intern and in the orchestra, as well as a student leader in the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) on campus. In Knoxville, he attended Sevier Heights Bapt! ist Church where he played in the orchestra and was also a leader in the campus BCM. Marc carried and shared his music and faith on summer missions to the U.K., Canada, Belgium and South America. Justin was a student/athlete and graduated in 2003 from Tennessee Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine with emphasis in both physical education and health. During that time, he captained and helped lead the soccer team to a conference and regional championship, with a birth in the National Tournament. He left Wesleyan with MVP honors as well as All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American Status, graduating with a 3.7 GPA. Justin then turned professional and played for the Greenville Lions (D-3) in South Carolina and then for the Indiana Blast (A-League) in Indianapolis. Taking his career to the next level, he traveled overseas to New Zealand and helped lead the Nelson Suburbs to two Mainland Soccer Championships while receiving "Players Player of the Year", as well as being chosen for the New! Zealand National League with Canterbury United in the South Island for the past two years.
