BASLER, MRS. BOBBIE JUNE - age 71, of Harriman, beloved wife, mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord Saturday December 8, 2007 at U.T. Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Preceded in death by mother and father; Mamie Solomon Russell and Claiborn Russell. Daughter Gina Basler, Sister; Donna Faye Miller and grandson; Joshua Basler. Mrs. Basler is survived by loving husband of 52 years; Harold Basler of Harriman; daughter, Bobbie Sue Brock and husband Dwayne of Harriman; sons, Steve Basler of Harriman, Larry Basler and wife Tammy of Maryville; sisters, Judy Johnson and Sandra and husband Dale Blake all of Harriman; 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host nieces and nephews. MINNIE MABEL, of Sunbright, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, She loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. Mabel was born October 11, 1915 to John and Tennessee Anderson. She was a life long resident of Morgan County. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Roy Jones; daughters: Kay Freels and Daisy Churchwell; son: Billy Jones; son-in-law: Charles Phillips; brother: Henry Anderson; and sister: Edith Smith. Mabel is survived by five daughters: Junnie Phillips of Deer Lodge, TN, Wanda Good and husband, Larry of Carmel, IN, Eva Herbst and husband, Don of Carol Stream, IL, Fay Huling and husband, Larry of Allardt, TN, and Becky Fritz and husband, Wayne of Manhatten, IL; three sons: Williard and wife, Rose of Springdale, OH, David and wife, Carol of Sunbright, TN, and Dennis and wife, Sue of Middletown, OH; Twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and one great, great-grandchild. Hope Cemetery, Deer Lodge/ [Schubert Funeral Home] ----------- SARGENT, CHARLES ROBERT 'BOB', 70, of Harriman, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, in Roane Medical Center, Harriman. A member of the Laborers Union 818, he was retired from GUBMK and had worked at both Y-12 Plant and TVA. He served as chairman of Roane County Democratic Party and was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, Oliver Springs. A U.S. Army veteran, he was an avid animal lover. He had six dogs, one of which, Gizmo, was very special to him. He was preceded in death by parents, Ira and Pernia Cromwell Sargent; son, Zack Sargent; and sister, Reba Farr. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Sargent; sons, Charles Dustin Sargent, Kelvin Sargent, Keith Sargent and Kelly Sar-gent; sister, Gladys Farr; brother, Otis Sargent; special friends, Mildred Oakes and Howard Bassler; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends and loved ones.
