WILLIAMS, MRS. LOUISE, age 88, of Poland, Ohio formerly of Lancing, Tn passed away Saturday December 15, 2007, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Poland. Louise was born March 31, 1919 in Tellico Plains, Tn and was the daughter of the late Horace Simeon and Nancy Jane (Pearson) Hampton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church in Gobey. During WWII, there was a shortage of teachers and Louise was asked to teach school. Her husband, Ralph T. Williams whom she married August 21, 1941 died July 10, 1999. In addition to her husband, parents she is also preceded in death by brothers; William A., James Clifford , Fred R. and Charles Ramon Hampton. Mrs. Williams is survived by brother; Rex H. (Eleanor) Hampton of Lakeland, FL. Aunts; Ruby Wilson and Elena Sharp both of Maryville, TN, sister-in-law; Donna R. Hampton of Warren and six nieces and three nephews. She was a member of Wartburg Presbyterian Church. She worked outside of the home for a short time, but spent most of her life taking care of her home and family. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Preceded in death by parents; Clem and Parlia Henry Van Norstran, baby sister; Clara Van Norstran and infant grandson; Patrick Russell Freels. Mrs. McKeethan is survived by husband of 63 years; J.T. McKeethan of Sunbright; Daughters; Cathy McKeethan of Sunbright Cynthia Mantooth and husband Charles of Lenoir City. He was born Sept. 13, 1957, in Sunbright, to Furl and Thelma Newport. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Lima. On July 20, 1990, he married Crystal L. Foster, who survives in Lima. Mr. Newport worked at Lima Auto Mall for many years. He attended Longfellow school, North Junior High and Lima Senior High School. He played football and softball. He enjoyed sports, hunting and fishing. He was an avid poker player, a Browns football fan and a history buff, especially on the period of the U.S. Civil War. He loved classic rock and the blues. He was a great cook and loved to barbecue. Mr. Newport is survived by his daughters, Leslie L. Newport and Ashley A. Newport both of Lima; adopted son, Nicoli G. Foster of Lima; adopted daughter, Faith N. Foster of Lima; brothers, Ed (Cindy) Newport of Lima, Danny Newport of Knoxville and John Newport of Lima; two sisters, Pat (Chester) Hembree of Loogootee, Ind. and Deb (John Hawk) Newport of Shawnee; and numerous nieces and nephews. [Roane County News] ----------- SANDERSON, EDNA MARIE PHILLIPS, 93, of Wartburg, passed away, Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, in the Life Care Center of Morgan County. She was born Sept. 20, 1914 in Huntsville, to the late Harrison and Bess Parker Phillips. She married Garnet Sanderson in 1934 and moved to Morgan County in 1935. She spent 14 years in Gobey and her remaining time in Wartburg. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, Wartburg for 65 years serving the Lord daily with kindness to all she came in contact with. She also was a past matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Wartburg. She later demitted to the Petros Order. Mrs. Sanderson retired in 1980 from the Highland Telephone Cooperative in Sunbright, after 25 years of service as one of the cooperatives first four employees. She enjoyed her association with her life-long friends and relatives. She represents a generation that devoted her life to her faith, her family and her country. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garnet Sanderson; brother, Virgil Phillips; sisters, Edith Phillips and Wilda Eastham; nephew, Harold Dean Phillips; and grandson, Robert Dean. Mrs. Sanderson is survived by her sons, Robert Bryan Sanderson and wife Joan of Sevierville, David Parker Sanderson and wife Betty of Crossville; daughter, Tillie Ann Sisson and husband Earl of Knoxville; grandchildren, Tara Lynn Sanderson, David Mitchell Sanderson, Amy Marie Simpson, Kevin James Sanderson, Leelan Beaver, Sarah Steinfeld and Susan Lower; great-grandchildren; Ashley Sanderson, William Parker Simpson; and sister-in-law; Imogene Byrd of Huntsville.
