She was born December 26, 1994 in Oak Ridge, the daughter of Donnie and Laurie Paine. Ashley was a 7th grader at Robertsville Middle School where she was active in the Titan's Club, enjoyed singing in her school chorus and had been a member of the track team in the past. She was also a member of Midway Baptist Church in Clinton which included involvement with the youth group and several activities such as camping at the Bill Rice Ranch. She was a beautiful, vibrant girl who loved playing basketball, softball, flag football and most of all soccer with the AYSO teams. Her goal in life was to 'Save the World' and she accomplished that goal by donating her organs to several recipients so that she can continue to live in us all. She loved helping others and is loved by many and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she is survived by: brothers, Daved Eben Paine-Steele, a! ge 12 and 7th grader at Cherokee Middle School and Tyler Austin Paine, age 19 months; sisters, Alexis Lea Paine, age 11 and 6th grader at Robertsville Middle School and Kaitlan Alyssa Paine, age 8 and 3rd grader at Linden Elementary School. Married at Guantanemo Bay, in Cuba, March 18, 1933, to 1st Lt. John Henry Wilbanks, USMC, of Chatsworth, GA. She has been a widow since January 16, 1944, when Lt. Wilbanks was killed in action, in the South Pacific, World War II. She is also predeceased by her son John Wilbanks and his wife, Sandra. Formerly living in Chatsworth, Dalton, then Decatur, GA, Mrs. Wilbanks has lived in Knoxville since Easter 2000, with her daughter, Kathy. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn (Kathy) and Larry DeWine; daughter, Mary Ann (Terry) Lohre of Florence, KY; eight grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren including two unborn babies; sisters Rosa, Adela and Dolores; brother Antonio.
