    3. ONEY, MR. LOUIS HERSHEL, age 80, of Wartburg, died Tuesday morning November 27, 2007 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge surrounded by his loving family. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served as a guard at the Japan Imperial Palace. He was a founding member and first Captain of the Morgan County Rescue Squad. Member of 1st Baptist Church, Wartburg, He was past master and 50 year member of Emerald Lodge #377, Wartburg and Kerbela Temple in Knoxville. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway after 39 years of service. Preceded in death by infant son; Michael Louis Oney, parents; Charles Oscar and Eva Collins Oney, Brother; Harold Oney Mr. Oney is survived by wife of 59 years; Lillian Shannon Oney Brother; Earl Oney and wife Virginia of Wartburg, Oscar Oney Jr. and wife Christine of Spring City. Sister; Relda Mae Oney of Wartburg, sister-in-law; Wanda Oney of Somerset, KY, Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Bill and Mary Newberry of Wartburg, Houston and Edna Shannon of Wartburg and several special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday November 29, 2007 form 6 to 8:00 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 P.M. with Rev Bill Goodman and Rev. Roy Langley officiating. Graveside service will be Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Morgan Memorial Gardens With military honors provided by Roane County Honor Guard. MATTIE ELIZABETH, of Lima, Ohio, formerly of Sunbright, passed away Tuesday November 27, 2007. Mrs. Douglas lived with her daughter Jan in Lima, Ohio for the past ten years. She was a longtime member of the Sunbright Methodist Church. She retired from Kellwood Company in 1982. She was preceded in death by husband; Floyd (Buster) Douglas, parents; Phillip and Flonnie Kennedy. Brothers; Gene, Harry and Rayburn Kennedy. Sister; Lorene Ward. Mrs. Douglas is survived by daughter; Janis Reed of Lima, Ohio Son; Michael Douglas of Sunbright and friend Chris Mockway of Sunbright. Grandsons; Dennis Satterfield (Deanne Schindel) and Shawn (Tawayna) Satterfield all of Lima, Ohio. Great-grandsons; Andrew and Matthew Satterfield of Lima, Ohio Sister; Marilyn Hough of Sunbright and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8:00 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home, Sunbright. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 P.M. with Bro. Charles Webb officiating. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired coal miner. Mr. Seiber is preceded in death by parents: Haskel Lee and Lannie Kennedy Seiber. Brother: Haskel Lee Seiber Jr., and sister: Celeste Gleness Patterson. He is survived by brothers; Cledyth Ray of Cleveland, OH. Donald Clayton, and Obra Layton, both of Wartburg, and Brentley Allen of Azle, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 17, 2007 from 6 to 8:00 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 P.M. with Rev. Joe Crichton and Bro.
