He was preceded in death by his parents; Henderson and Mattie Freels, sister; Mary Ruth Rose, brothers; Jay W. and Kenneth Freels, He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years; Joyce Ann Clevinger Freels; Daughters; Angie Chitwood and fiancé Wes Owens of Oneida, TN, Lynn Thorton of Winfield, TN, Matti Riggs and Husband Bob of Columbia, S.C., Son; James Freels and wife Patricia of Winfield, TN, Grandson; Ryon Chitwood of Huntsville, TN, Granddaughters; Jessica Shepard and husband Paul of Oneida, TN, Katie West of Oneida, TN and Joy Spradley of Columbia, S.C., Great-grandchildren; Dalton, Jordan and Peyton Freels of Winfield, TN, Logan Shepard of Oneida, TN, Beth, Trey and Brandon Spradley of Columbia, S.C.
