FREEMAN GLENN, age 84 of Winfield, TN passed away Monday, May 21, 2007 in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was born in Elgin, TN to Henderson Scott Freels and Mattie Hawn Freels. He honorably served in the United States Army 102nd Infantry division in Europe during WW II and was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and 2 Bronze Stars. He was an insurance agent for Commonwealth Life Ins. Co. in Ashland, KY and Monticello, KY. He returned to begin an agency in Scott County in 1964. He later became an independent truck driver from which he retired in 1991. He was a faithful member of The Church of Christ and last attended the McCreary Co. Church of Christ in Whitley City, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents; Henderson and Mattie Freels, sister; Mary Ruth Rose, brothers; Jay W. and Kenneth Freels, He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years; Joyce Ann Clevinger Freels; Daughters; Angie Chitwood and fiancĂ© Wes Owens of Oneida, TN, Lynn Thorton of Winfield, TN, Matti Riggs and Husband Bob of Columbia, S.C., Son; James Freels and wife Patricia of Winfield, TN, Grandson; Ryon Chitwood of Huntsville, TN, Granddaughters; Jessica Shepard and husband Paul of Oneida, TN, Katie West of Oneida, TN and Joy Spradley of Columbia, S.C., Great-grandchildren; Dalton, Jordan and Peyton Freels of Winfield, TN, Logan Shepard of Oneida, TN, Beth, Trey and Brandon Spradley of Columbia, S.C. All of the caregivers and residents of the Oneida Nursing and Rehab. Center where he resided for the last few months of his life. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 24, 2007 at The Church of Christ in Oneida from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow visitation with Bro. Jerry Carmichael, Bro. Randy Neil and Bro. Joe Arnold officiating. Graveside services will held Friday, May 26, 2007, 11:00 a.m. in the Coalhill cemetery Glenmary, TN/ ------------- POTTER, MRS. SARAH "JUNE", age 75 of Lancing, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 22, 2007. She was preceded in death by husband Everett; Parents: Bill and Mae Davis; Sisters: Dora, Mildred, Johnnie, Imogene and Yvonne; Brothers: Ray and a Roy and a special nephew: Billy Jean Davis Mrs. Potter is survived by daughter and son-in-law: Debbie and James Williams; Son: Randall Potter all of Lancing Grandchildren: Sandy and Shawn Russell, Todd Williams and Katheryn Potter; Great-grandchildren: Lauren and Landon Russell; Baby sister: Faye Aytes of Lancing and a host of nieces and nephews The family will receive friends Thursday, May 24, 2007 from 11:00 AM to 1 PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg.
