I am seeking information about, and would like to make contact with any descendants or relatives of, Edith WYLIE, who appears in Morgan Co. in the 1920 and 1930 census with her father Frank and his wife Ida. In both these census the name is spelled WILEY. Edith was born in Elizabethtown Indiana 21 July 1909, although the 1920 and 1930 census both say born Tennessee. Her mother was the 2nd wife of John Frank Wylie: Sarah L. "Sallie" Casada of Claiborne County TN. The 1930 census says Edith’s husband is John RUDA, age 35. I think this name should be spelled RODDY. The couple have only been married within the year, according to this census, so I don’t know whether they ever had any children. By his first wife, Frank Wylie had a daughter Nannie or Nancy, born 1899, and a son Wade born 1901. Wade seems to have ended up in Monroe, Michigan, as many East Tennesseans did in the first half of the 20th century. In 1920 the family was in the 10th enumeration dist; in 1930 in the 3rd. I know that in 1917 (when Sallie was still living) they were in Oakdale. Edith was a first cousin to my mother. I have a couple of photos of her, also of her parents, and much family lure to share.
