SUMNER, MR. CLYDE NAPOLEON - age 98 of Wartburg, born March 20, 1909 went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Roane Medical Center. He was a loving father and dedicated Christian. He was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church and was Sunday school superintendent for several years. He worked for many years as janitor and maintenance man in the Morgan County School System. Mr. Sumner was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Vadie Hamby Sumner. parents, Fred and Anna Human Sumner; brothers, Harvey and Charlie Sumner; sisters, Edna Huling and Rena Goodman; sons-in-law, Lonas Stubbs and Guy Underwood. He leaves behind daughters; Lillian Stubbs, Mildred Underwood of Wartburg. daughter and son-in-law; Wanda and James Osborne of Franklin, Ohio; brother; Glen and wife Mabel of Knoxville; sisters; Audrey Taylor and Anna Joyce Terry of Wartburg; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 19, 2007 form 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral service will be Sunday at 11:00 A.M. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Benji Blakney and Rev. Brian Underwood officiating. Interment will follow at Wartburg City Cemetery. Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg in charge of arrangements. She was preceded in death by her mother: Hazel Bowling; Father Merle Davis Brothers: Donald Seiber and Jerry Carr; Grandparents: Walter and Sandie Sampsel She is survived by her husband: Anthony Robinson; Children: Mark and wife, Shelia; Johnathan and wife, Kaula; Jason and his wife, Christina; Adam and fiance Lisa; Ronald Bishop; and Nicholas. Grandchildren: Madyson and Markayla Robinson Step-grandchildren: Mason and Tylar. Sisters: Deborah Gail Smith and husband Carl, and Connie Finks and Husband Ronald. Also by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, May 18th from 6 to 8 PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 8 PM with Bro.
