POTTER, MR. PAUL S. - age 72 of Lancing, passed away Sunday evening, July 15, 2007 at Roane Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Potter retired from Chilton Tractor Company after 38 years of service. He was preceded death by: parents, Lemmie and Anna Bell Potter; mother-in-law, Polly Keeton; nephew, Tim Rich; brother-in-law, Bob Riley. Mr. Potter is survived by: wife, Marian Keeton Potter of Lancing; son, Paul Stephen and wife Kim Potter of Wartburg; grandchildren, Steven Potter of Lancing, Nicole Griffith of Mossy Grove and Arminda Potter of Wartburg; great grandchildren, Bailey Griffith and Caleb Potter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maisel and Thomas Harney, Melba and Walter Rich of Lancing, Wilda Jo and Jim Rich of York, S.C., Sharon and Lester Heidel and Gayle and Bobby Hamby of Wartburg; sisters-in-law, Billie Freels and Alice Vertner of Lancing; brother-in-law, Winfield Keeton and special friends the Chilton family, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday July 18, 2007 form 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Ralph Nance and Rev. Robert Pfaff officiating. Graveside service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Morgan Memorial Gardens.
