    2. >From the Oak Ridger 19 Jul 2007 Ruth Lee Darden, age 83, of Oak Ridge, Anzel L. Farley Jr., age 76, a resident of Oliver Springs, Shirley Faye Jackson Langley, age 75, of Oakdale, Tenn., Arthur L. Franson, 90, of Oak Ridge, Tenn. Ruth Lee Darden, age 83, of Oak Ridge, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at NHC HealthCare of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Darden was born July 12, 1924, in Tazewell, Tenn., to Joseph W. and Viola Lee Dossett, who are both now deceased. Mrs. Darden was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church where she was very active and sang in the church choir. She was also a past president of the League of Women Voters and enjoyed hiking, walking and was an amateur painter. Mrs. Darden was a medical receptionist with several doctor's offices and retired working for Dr. Cruze. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Weir. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Edgar Darden, of Oak Ridge; and a son, Glen Thomas Leinart, of Mosheim, Tenn. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 1 p.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Bailey Norman officiating with a reception to follow after the service in the fellowship hall at the church. Interment will be in the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 212 N. Tulane Ave., Oak Ridge, TN 37830. An online message may be sent to www.martinoakridgefuneralhome.com. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Anzel L. Farley Jr., age 76, a resident of Oliver Springs, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at his home. Mr. Farley was born Feb. 28, 1931, in Gordon County, Ga. He moved to Oliver Springs in 1940 with his family. He graduated from Oliver Springs High School in 1951. Following his high school graduation, he entered the U.S. Army. After completing his military service, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio. He moved back to Oliver Springs in 2006. Mr. Farley retired from the T.R.W. Company as a supervisor after working 43 years. He was a member of the Eastlake Church of Christ in Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anzel L. Farley, and Dixie E. Wiggins Farley; by a brother, Ralph Wiggins; and by a sister, Doris Waters. Survivors include his son, Robert Lee Farley of Cleveland, Ohio; sister, Barbara Steelman and husband, Ernest, of Oliver Springs; and sister-in-law, Ethel Wiggins of Peachtree, N.C. He is also survived by two grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services and burial will be held Thursday, July 19, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Oliver Springs Cemetery. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Shirley Faye Jackson Langley, age 75, of Oakdale, Tenn., passed away on July 17, 2007. Shirley was one of the oldest living heart transplant recipients (June 1991) in Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Langley; daughter, Kemmy Langley; and grandson, Eddie Nelson. She is survived by her son Dean Langley and wife, Alice, of Oakdale; daughter Cathy Carr and husband, Phil, of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; special grandson Todd Nelson and wife, Rose, of Harriman; grandchildren Tyler and Sara Carr, Victoria Nelson, Paul and Holly Nelson, Anthony and Angel Nelson, Samantha and Joshua Gregory; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Elizabeth Smith Earnshaw of Florida. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, July 19, 2007, at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg, from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will follow with the Rev. Danny Thomas officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 20, 2007, at 10 a.m. in the Crab Orchard Church cemetery in Oakdale, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice at Fort Sanders Foundation, 1901 W. Clinch Ave., Knoxville, TN 37916. Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg is in charge of arrangements. Arthur L. Franson, 90, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and formerly of South Bend, Ind., died Monday, July 16, 2007, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
