    2. >From The Oak Ridger 12 Jul 2007 Edward Louis Clark, 83, of Asheville, N.C. Carl Lloyd Gibson, age 58, of Clinton, Tenn., Benjamin Reeves "Buck" Perry, age 67, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Lorene W. Seiber, age 86, a resident of Oliver Springs, Edward Louis Clark, 83, of Asheville, N.C., father of Oak Ridge business woman Bonnie Clark and founder of Clark's Copy Service, Inc., entered into rest on July 11, 2007. A multi-generation native of Western North Carolina, Edward Louis "Ed" Clark was an active businessman and sportsman throughout his life. He attended Mars Hill College and received his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy, Ed Clark attended Harvard University for a master's degree in business administration. For over 25 years, Ed Clark served as both the sales and general manager of the Clark-Fowler Cigar Company, a large wholesale and vending operations company serving all of Western North Carolina. Clark was also the treasurer and director of the Rollin' Pin Bakery, a successful Asheville retail baking and catering company. For many years, Clark served as the president and chairman of the board of Clark's Printing and Communication Service located in Westside Business Park. Clark was also the founder of Clark's Copy Service, Inc. in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Among his many civic activities, Ed Clark served as a director and chairman of the Legislative Committee for the North Carolina Wholesale Association. He served for several years as a member of the Mars Hill College Board of Advisors and as a director of the Asheville Y.M.C.A. An active Rotarian for many years, Mr. Clark was the president-elect and a director of the West Asheville Rotary Club as well as a Paul Harris Fellow. He also served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at the First Baptist Church in Asheville. Ed Clark was a member of Hominy Baptist Church, the church his parents helped to found. As a sportsman and horse breeder, Ed Clark served as a director of the North Carolina Horse Council. He was president of the North Carolina Thoroughbred Breeders Association and was twice awarded the coveted honor of being named Breeder of the Outstanding Thoroughbred Race Horse of the Year in North Carolina by this organization. Ed Clark is survived by his wife, Mary K. Clark; four children, Carol C. Hensley of Asheville, Bonnie E. Clark of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Mary Jane Altizer of Johnson City, Tenn., and Thomas Andrew Clark of Asheville; and three grandchildren, A. Hunter Clark and Kramer T. Clark, both of Asheville, and Carly E. Altizer of Johnson City, Tenn. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2007, at Anders-Rice, 1428 Patton Avenue in Asheville. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2007, at Hominy Baptist Church on Candler School Road. Internment will follow at Lewis Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hominy Baptist Adult Day Care or Care Partners Hospice Foundation. Carl Lloyd Gibson, age 58, of Clinton, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospice in Knoxville. He was of the Baptist faith. He was U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Earl Hensley. Survivors include his mother, Jettie Hensley of Clinton; brother, Mickey Gibson and wife, Rose, of Delaware; nephews, Michael Gibson of Delaware, and Brian Gibson and wife, Bonnie, of New Jersey; great-nephew, Evan Gibson; great-niece, Lily Gibson; special friends, Linda Gray and her five grandchildren, and Patsy Allen; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 13, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Darryl Glenn officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday, July 14, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery in Clinton for the graveside service. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all the arrangements. Benjamin Reeves "Buck" Perry, age 67, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and formerly of Knoxville, died peacefully July 11, 2007, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Buck was the former owner of Perry's Bug Shop in Oak Ridge. Buck was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Helen Perry. He is survived by his loving daugters and sons-in-law, Renee and Shawn Hinson of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Michelle Dunn-Bird and Mark Bird of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; grandchildren, Nicolette and husband, Travis Christensen, Angelica Costanzo, Zackery Dunn and Richard Bird; great-grandsons, Adrian and Dylan Christensen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Bob Tidwell and Darlene and Dale Memmott; and brother, Butch Perry. Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Green officiating. Seiber, age 86, a resident of Oliver Springs, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Summitt View Health Care Center in Lake City. Mrs. Seiber was born April 30, 1921, in Devonia. She and her family moved to Oliver Springs in 1946. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Seiber was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Seiber; by a daughter, Peggy Seiber; by her parents, Ethel White and Ellie Armes White; by two brothers, Howard and Junior White; and by a sister, Louada Stonecipher. Mrs. Seiber had no surviving relatives, however she was loved and cared for by those who were considered as family including all of her Kellytown community neighbors in Oliver Springs. The graveside service and burial will be held Thursday, July 12, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
