HAMBY, MR. FLOYD, age 81 of Sunbright, passed away Saturday July 31, 2010 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was an employee of G.M. and a veteran of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife; Judy Hamby, Parents; Ben and Mary Hamby. He is survived by daughters; Becky Herron of Sunbright, Cindy Blagg and husband David of Florida, Granddaughter ; Mary Beth Blagg also of Florida, and several brothers, sisters, friends and relatives. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 Tuesday evening, August 3 , 2010 at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright, Funeral service will follow with Bro. Jeff Dyer officiating. Garey was born on the 19th day of June, 1973 in Oak Ridge. He was a lifelong resident of this area. Garey was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Harriman. He worked as a cable lineman and he owned and operated the Garey Lowe Cable Construction Company. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rev. Kenneth Johnson. Garey is survived by his mother, Rhonda Currier and husband, David of Harriman, by his father, Garey Edward Lowe Sr. and wife, Debbie of Coalfield, by children; Hanna, Gabriel, Israel and Seth Lowe all of Petros, by a sister, Jennifer Best and husband, Shane of Harriman, step-sister, Michelle Teague and husband, Jackie of Harriman, step-brothers; David Lowe of Coalfield and David Currier and wife Debbie of Harriman, by grandmothers, Reva Johnson of Harriman and Julia Lowe of Oliver Springs by his former wife, Carmen of Petros and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends Monday, August 2, 2010 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Kenneth Johnson, James Foster and Wesley Duncan officiating.
