    3. HOUSTON, MR. M. C., age 65, of Lancing died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in the Greeneville Nursing Home. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by parents: Joe and Mammie Beeler Houston; and sister, Ruby Galloway. He is survived by brothers: Lee and Joe Houston, both of Lancing; sisters: Bobbie Houston of Wartburg and Pearl Hines of Silverville, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Friday, August 6th at 10:30 a.m. in the Lane Cemetery, with Bro. James Phillips officiating. The family will meet at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg, at 9:30 a.m. to proceed to the cemetery. Schubert Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. [Schubert Funeral Home] -------------- BROWNING, AUDREY MERION "BROWNIE", age 79, a resident of Petros, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the home of her daughter. Audrey was born on the 6th day of November, 1930 in Petros. She was a lifelong resident of Morgan CountyShe was a faithful Christian and a member of the Family Worship Center in the Stephens Community. Before her retirement in 1994, she was employed at the Y-12 federal plant in Oak Ridge. Audrey loved animals and especially dogs. Often she nursed disabled and abandoned dogs back to health. She also enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Roxie Patterson Armes, by a son, James Farmer, by brothers, Jack and Oza Armes, and by sisters, Dealie Boston and Oma Armes. Mrs. Browning is survived by daughters; Deborah Daugherty and husband, Sam of Wartburg, Gussie Armes and husband, Sammie of Wartburg, Julie Wilson of Petros, by sons; Eddie Farmer of Coalfield and Carl Farmer of Petros, by grandchildren; Samuel Daugherty Jr., Derrick Daugherty, Jeanine Jones, Toby Farmer, Roxie Farmer, Rachel Farmer, Sarah Farmer, Timmy Farmer, Holly Beard, Jacob Hensley and Miriah Hensley and by 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Austin Armes of Seymour, by a special friends, Sister Barbara Price, by her former husband, Edwin Farmer and other extended family members. The family also remembers special friends, Junior "Bug" Liles and Carrie Armes.The family will receive fiends Thursday, August 5, 2010 between the hours of 12:00 and 2:00 pm at the Family Worship Center in Stephens community of Morgan County. The funeral will follow at 2:00 pm in the church with Pastors Frank and Barbara Price officiating. Burial and graveside services will follow at the Petros Cemetery. The family expresses their gratitude to Jody Daugherty, Misty Daugherty, Fran Armes and Avalon Hospice for all the love and care provided for Mrs. Browning.
