HELTON, MR. ALVIN EUGENE, age 81 of Oakdale, TN, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Roane Medical Center. He was employed for 25 years at Roane Electric Inc. in Rockwood, TN. He was a member of Pine Orchard Baptist Church. He was an avid gardner and squirrel hunter. He was preceded in death by parents: Carl and Maude Stewart Helton; siblings: Dorothy Redmond, Helen Bingham, Madge Summers, Mary Burchfield, Zelda Bingham, and Willard Helton. He is survived by wife, Edna Irene Helton; children: Edna Johnson and husband, Edward, Alvin (Junior) Helton and wife, Sandy of Oakdale, and Mike Helton and wife, Connie of Azle, TX; grandchildren: Edward Johnson Jr. and wife, Michelle, Jason Johnson and wife, Kari, Justin Helton and wife, Narumol, Christy Wethington and husband, Sam, and Becky Helton; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Carl (Bud) Helton Jr.; sister, Shirley Collins of Oakdale; and step-mother, Irene Helton. The family will receive friends Friday, November 19, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Mike Helton and Bro. CHARLES E., age 70 of Oak Ridge, formerly of Petros, passed away November 18th, 2010 at the Methodist Medical Center. He served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from K-25. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clyde and Dolly; brother, Sonny; niece, Penny Nation; mother and father-in-law: Harold and Geraldine Adkisson.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jo; son, Charles “Fizz” and wife, Yolette of Nashville; son, Jai of Oak Ridge; adopted daughter, Juanita Richards; granddaughters: Brittany and Taylor of Nashville, Annetta “PJ” of Oak Ridge, Courtnie Cooper of Oak Ridge; grandsons: Justin Hensley and Jake Bridges of Wartburg; great-grandchildren: Anna Marie Hensley and soon to be arriving Kylier Mitchell; sister, Faye Weiford; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special people that were in his life (he held close to his heart, Caney, Charlene, Misty, and Tommy); also his beloved and devoted dogs: J.J., Harley, and Crystal.
