**PHILLIPS, MR. TOMMY "TOM" LEE, age 68 of Midtown passed away Monday, November 8, 2010 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Tom was born on December 29, 1941 in Wartburg. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and son. Tom was an avid NASCAR fan and a fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and with his special buddy, his dog Sam. Tom served in the United States Air Force, worked for the Roane County Sherriff Department and he retired from Y-12 Lockheed Martin as a chemical operator. He was preceded in death by his father John S. Phillips; sister Mary Sue Stewart and a granddaughter Elizabeth Brown. /Survivors include:/ Wife of 33 years Carolyn L.
