SNYDER, REV. HARRY WEDDLE "PREACHER", age 92 passed away, September 11, 2010 (Flintstone, GA, formerly of Oakdale, TN. A retired member of the Holston United Methodist Conference, Harry served churches in Wells Springs, Whitwell Circuit, Mascot, Wauhatchie and Daisy. He is survived by wife of 64 years, Marjorie (Lockard) Snyder, son, Dr. Stephen Snyder (Candy) of Lebanon, TN, daughters, Mary (Paul) Blair of Wilmore, KY and Martha (Alan) Hulgan of Ooltewah, TN. Harry was grandfather to Leigh Snyder, James Hulgan, Bill Blair, Jason Snyder (deceased), Rebecca (Hulgan) Banus, Katie Blair and Jenny Blair and great-grandfather to Harrison Hulgan and Samuel and Anne Marie Blair. He was preceded in death by parents; Charles P. and Maggie Blake Snyder and brothers; Charles, Ray and Norman Snyder. Rev. Snyder was a graduate of Oakdale High School, Asbury College and Asbury Seminary. Graveside service will be Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. in the Crab Orchard Church Cemetery, Oakdale, TN., with Rev. Paul Blair officiating. A memorial service will be held at the Wauhatchie United Methodist, Chattanooga, TN, on Sunday September 19, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. He was a deacon and a long time member of Pleasant Ridge Community Church and a former employee of Dicky Justice Chevrolet of Wartburg and was recently employed by Tennier of Sunbright. He was preceded in death by parents; Fred and Willie (Smith) Hammond. Mr. Hammond is survived by sisters: Freda Coffman of Sunbright, and Chris Belicek and husband, George Sr. of Robbins.Brother; Fred and wife Judy Hammond Jr. of Hammond, IND. Several nieces and nephews other friends and relatives. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Wicks was born December 29, 1933 in Coalfield, TN to Charles and Grace Lyles Boyd. She was a member of North Rockwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Allen Wicks; brothers, Carl Boyd & Ireland Boyd; and a sister, Ethel Smith. Survivors include: Husband, Carl Wicks of Rockwood, TN; Son, Phillip Wicks (Lina) of Friendswood, TX Grandchildren; Michael Wicks of Friendswood, TX; Jade Thomas (Mojgan) of West Palm Beach, FL Great Grandchild; Baion Thomas of West Palm Beach, FL Sister; Ruby Kirkland (Winfred) of Rockwood, TN.
