I would love to hear more about Morgan County. One set of my grandparents were from Oliver Springs/Coalfield. Jenny Russell (born 1889) and William Eugene Griffith (born 1892). Jenny's sister, Molly, married a Mr. Stonecipher (maybe much older than her and the postmaster) and had two sons who both died in their early 30's. The other set were Rev. Timothy Victor Peters (born 1885), Burrville, Oneida, Clinton, etc and Alleyna Talley (born 1889) Peters of southern Louisiana. It would be great to hear about living conditions, education available, and possible travel during their life times. My mother (one of ten children) Helen (born 1913) Peters taught school in several Morgan county schools including Coalfield. I would appreciate info about the school system or living conditions during her lifetime.
