NEWBERRY, HELEN 'JACKIE' NICHOLS, age 73, a resident of Coalfield, has lost her battle and went to be with the lord on Friday, September 24, 2010 at her home. Jackie was a member of Big Mountain Baptist Church where she enjoyed her church family. She loved her family and had many wonderful special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jimmy Newberry, by her parents; Earl and Pearl Nichols, a sister, Loretta Bryson, and a brother, Neil Nichols. Mrs. Newberry is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Ruth Nichols of Smyrna, GA, a sister, Eula Faye Braden of Coalfield, a sister-in-law, Janet Nichols of Oak Ridge, brother-in-laws and spouses; Johnny and Deann Newberry, David and Tammy Newberry, Michael and Angel, Archie Jr. and Elaine Newberry and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday , September 26, 2010 between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. Burial and graveside services will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Estes Cemetery with Pastor Dewey Brown and Rev. Lonny Lowe officiating.
