BARDILL, EDNA STONE - age 89, passed away peacefully on 14th day, of July 2010 at her home in Kingston, TN. Edna was born July 7, 1921 and raised in the Pine Orchard community near Oakdale, TN in Morgan County. She was the first child, of nine children born to Harley H. and Elizabeth Benson Stone. She is survived by daughter, Rita Glynn (Bill) Dodds, Lebanon, TN; granddaughters, Charlotte Dodds, New York, NY, Jessica Dodds; and one great granddaughter, Savannah Selby, Lebanon, TN; brother, Robert G.(Ann) Stone, Mt Juliet, TN; sisters, Velma S.(George)McCollum, Athens, TN, Patsy Jean S. (Roy) Johnson, Kingston, TN, Mary Elizabeth S. (Robert) Keeney, Soddy Daisy, TN; sister-in-law, Betty Hatley Stone, Hixson, TN; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; step-daughter, Cathy Satterfield and her family, Loudon, TN. She was preceded in death by parents, and husband, Albert Bardill; sister, Virginia G. Stone; brothers, Harley H. Jr., Bill and Herbert Stone. She graduated from Oakdale High School and looked forward to attending, all school reunions. She worked as a Dental and Medical Assistant for many years. Edna lived a full life and stayed active with her circle of friends, and activities at the senior center, Kingston and FCE Club(Rural Mixers). She was an avid reader and loved to bake sweets to share with family and friends. She has loved and cared for every member of her family as her own and they looked to her as a parent. She was a member, of Pine Orchard Baptist Church where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 24th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. EST, with Reverend Danny Thomas officiating. A special thank you to her daughter, Rita, for her extra care she gave so unselfishly, to her mother, during her extended illness, and also Caris Hospice for all their special care, and Methodist Medical Center(floor west). In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to, Pine Orchard Baptist Church, 523 Pine Orchard Road, Oakdale, TN 37829, or a charity of your choice. At her request, she was cremated.
