CHAPMAN, MRS. MOLLIE MARIE ALLEN - age 85, of Wartburg, born May 22, 1925, passed away in her sleep at home, July 9, 2010. Mollie was a member of the Stephens Baptist Church. Mollie retired, after 28 years, of service at Lakeshore Mental Health Facility. She was a very hard working woman, who enjoyed working in her yard. She also loved crocheting, sewing, and embroidery, of which she made Christmas gifts for her family. She was preceded in death by parents: Sam and Murmie Patterson Allen; brother, Jesse Allen; sisters, Helen Allen Hensley, Cora Allen McAbee, Maude Allen Jones, Lena Mae Allen Jones; and son, Lloyd Edward Chapman. Mrs. Chapman is survived by four children, Barbara Chapman Wilson, Sammy J. Chapman, Debra Chapman, and James "Dean" Chapman and wife, Tammy; brother, LeRoy Allen; seven grandchildren, Mark Wilson, Pamela Wilson Byrd, Michael Wilson, Marshall Wilson, Sammy J. Chapman Jr., Amy Chapman Vogel, Brandon Chapman; and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 11th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Jernigan officiating. A graveside service will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the Petros Cemetery.
