HUCKABY, MRS. ANNA MAE GRIFFITH, age 72, passed away Thursday May 26, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center. She was preceded in death her beloved husband, Freddie Huckaby, parents; Dave and Bill Griffith. She is survived by her son; Alvin Lee Huckaby of Knoxville, Grandson; Kyle F. Huckaby of Knoxville, and fiancée, Megan Evans; Granddaughter; Bailey Huckaby of Knoxville; Sister and brother-in-law; Patsy and Charles Ed Young of Wartburg, Brother, Lawrence and wife, Judy Griffith, of Harriman and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Darlene was one of 14 children born in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Later residing in California before making Wartburg her home in 1973. She was a seamstress by trade and was a WWII welder building Army vans. She was preceded in death by her husband; Burton, her youngest son; Jamie, grandson; Robert Osterhoudt. She is survived by 8 children; Don Brickey of Oregon, Sandra Osterhoudt of Harriman, Donna Bradshaw of Wartburg, Delores Hamby and husband Ruben of Lancing, Colleen Hamby and husband Leland of Lancing, Alfred Vincent and wife Brigitte of Lancing, Richard Vincent and wife April of Wartburg and Ann Smith of Wartburg. Sisters; Marion, Mildred, Jacquline and Barbara. Brother; Kenneth. She leaves behind a legacy of 27 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a very special friend; Lois Lavender. She was loved by all her family and will be greatly missed.
