    3. TAPSCOTT, MR. CLAUD "SCOTTY" Jr., age 78, of the Joyner Community, passed away February 4, 2011, at the Fort Sanders Regional Hospital, Knoxville. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Claud organized the Joyner Vol. Fire Dept. and served as the fire chief for over twenty five years, and a member of Morgan Co. Rescue and served in the military from 1950 to 1952. He retired after forty two years as mechanist supervisor Y-12, Oak Ridge. Claud enjoyed crusing and traveling. Preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Freida Tapscott, sister; Martha Tapscott. Survived by his loving wife of Fifty four years; Cassie Morgan Tapscott Daughter and son-in-law; Rhonda and Lonnie Burress, Joyner Community Sons and Daughters-in-law; Jerry and Vickie Allen, Oliver Springs Johnny and Willeen Allen, Joyner Community Gerald “Todd” and Laura Schubert, of Carrollton, Ga. Sister; Wanda McVetty, of Ill. Verna Cocoran, of Kansas City, Kan. Sister-in-law; Flora Zick, of Wartburg Nine grand children, four great grandchildren, and one great great grand child and a very special pet, Bandit An a host of nieces, nephews and friends.The family will receive friends Saturday evening, Feb. 5, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m. Schubert Funeral Home Chapel, Wartburg, with funeral services to follow. With Rev. Bill Goodman and Rev. Paul Frick officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be held Sunday evening 2 p.m. Union Baptist Cemetery. [Schubert Funeral Home] ------------------------- MULLINS, ROGER, age 65, a resident of Oak Ridge, passed Monday, January 31, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Mr. Mullins was born on the 12th day of January, 1946 in Harlan, Kentucky. He has lived in Tennessee since early childhood. Roger owned and operated Mullins Auto Sales, Roger Mullins Auto Sales and he also worked at Valley Pontiac as a car salesman. His greatest enjoyment came from the negotiation of the transaction (horse trading) either buying, selling or simply trading on cars. He was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Lynn Mullins, by his parents, Chines Simmy Mullins and Juanita Davis Mullins, by a sister, Eva Mullins, by brothers; Simmy, Jahue and Jack Mullins and by a special friend, Joe Pride. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna Mullins of Oak Ridge, by a son, Doug Mullins and wife, Erin of Knoxville , by daughters; Amy Mullins of Knoxville and Lori Brown and husband Chad of Atlanta, GA, by grandchildren; Emma, Jameson Douglas and Sydney Brown, and Brittany and Bradley Mullins, by great-grandchildren; Conner, Levi, Mallory and Cruze Mullins, and by a brother, Mike Mullins and wife, Karla of Oak Ridge. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family members and a special friend Randall Steelman. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 3, 2011 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Garvan Walls officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held Friday, February 4, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Estes Cemetery in Coalfield. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
