KING, MR. JERRY, age 62, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011, at his home in Wartburg. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Saratoga, where he did two tours. He was a 30 year employee of the Tennessee Dept. of Corrections, with many of those years at Brushy Mt. State Penitentiary. His later years he worked at the Morgan County Regional. He was preceded in death by his parents: Donaldson and Charlene Collins King; brother, Samuel King; and sister, Audrey King. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia King of Wartburg; step-daughter, Blessjoy Espadilla of Wartburg; sons: Jimmy King of Oak Ridge and Roger King of Nashville; brothers: Roger King of Marietta, GA, Mark, Buddy, and Cory King all of Tampa, Charles Cranmore of Clinton, Bruce Cranmore of Clinton, and Frankie Cranmore of Lyerly, GA; sister, Ethel Hawn of Clinton; step-sister, Barbara Cranmore Wyatt of Calhoun, GA. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 1st from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Masonic and funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Roy Langley officiating. CHARLES, age 81, of the Joyner community, passed away Monday morning, February 28, 2001 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis Cross Swint.
