    3. — WOODS, AMOS HOUSTON, age 78, of Ten Mile, Tenn., passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, as the result of a tragic accident. Born Dec. 28, 1932, he was the son of the late Rev. M.L. Woods and wife, Arizona Reeves Woods. Mr. Woods was a member of the Church of God and a veteran of the Army Military Police. Amos was a wonderful husband, Daddy, Poppy and Pappaw. He will be greatly missed by all, but it will be Heaven's gain. After serving in the U.S. Army, he and his wife lived in Indiana. In the early 1970s, he operated Woods Shoe Repair in Knoxville. After that he operated the Southern Railways Dormitory and Restaurant in Oakdale, Tenn., for more than 20 years. For the past 22 years he helped operate Woods Shoe Repair in Oak Ridge. Mr. Woods was an avid bowler, loved the outdoors, and fishing. His dedication to his family and faith was recognized and will be remembered by all who knew him. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Omis and Andy Woods; and sisters, Daytona Turner and Cora Morris. He is survived by his wife of more than 57 years, Jo Ann Porter Woods of Ten Mile; daughters, Sherry Foster and husband, David, of Knoxville, and Phyllis Bandy and husband, David, of Harriman; grandchildren, Kristi and Jeremy Akers, David and Robin Bandy, Chad and Keri Tarwater, David and Candice Foster, Amy and Evan Hutcheson, Rebekah and Craig Gray, Jeremiah and Carrie Tarwater; and 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Enis Woods, Ernest Woods and wife, Barbara, and Marcus Woods and wife, Barbara; sisters, Alice Woods Watson and Agnes McClellan and husband, Pat. The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, April 23, 2011, in the chapel of Four Oaks of Oneida until the time of the funeral at 1 p.m. with the Rev. James C. Bandy officiating. Music will be provided by Jimmy Hill. Burial will follow in the Cooper Memorial Cemetery in the Coopertown community, with full military honors provided by American Legion Post No. 136. Pallbearers will be David Bandy Sr., David Foster Sr., David Bandy Jr., David Foster Jr., Chad Tarwater and Jeremiah Tarwater. CHARLES HENRY, age 79, passed away April 21, 2011, after a long illness, surrounded by family at his home in Harriman. Charles was a 10 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a self-employed office machine repairman at Adkins Business Machines in Harriman. He was preceded in death by parents: Rev. Lacy and Martha Heckman Adkins; brother, William (Billy) Adkins; sisters: Carrie Adkins, Gladys Howard, Rosa Lee Sumner, and Blanch Gosnell. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mayadgile Pass Adkins; daughter, Teresa Clark and husband, Bobby; twin sons: Trevor Adkins and wife, Carol, and Tracy Adkins; grandchildren: Adam Clark and wife, Stella, Lacey Turpin and husband, Richard, Ashley Freels and husband, Jamie, Tyler and Dylan Adkins; great-grandchildren: Ryan and Brandon Turpin, Sean and Sara Freels, and Brady and Audrey Clark; sisters: Jessie Hamill and Josephine Smith; many nieces and nephews; and special care giving friend, Junior Sneed. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 23, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Bobby Clark officiating. GARY, age 61 of Harriman, passed away Thursday April 21, 2011 at the Harriman Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was preceded in death by his parents: Melvin Samuel and Sally Trentham Sitzler. He is survived by two sisters: Linda Bingham of Oakdale and Brenda Vance of Rockwood. Two brothers: Willis and Marvin Sitzler both of Harriman. His good friend: Ralph Moore and a host of nieces, nephews and other family, friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends Saturday April 23, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM.
