ARMES, MRS. WANDA HOOPER, age 65 of Wartburg, passed away Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Life Care Center of Morgan County. She was preceded in death by father; Hershel Hooper, brother; Ronnie Hooper, sisters; Evelyn Dyer and Jo-Ann Hooper, former husband; William Armes. Mrs. Armes is survived y daughters; Carolyn and husband Willie Charles Booker and Penny Freytag. Mother; Sarah Bullard; Brothers; Gene, and James Hooper, Wesley and Melvin Bullard; Sister; Nancy Farris, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. IOLA, age 80 of Wartburg, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. She was a lifelong homemaker and a member of Elizabeth Church in Lancing, TN. She was preceded in death by son, Steven Halard Hamby; grandson, Jason Wayne Hamby; sister, Velva Mae England; and brother, Leroy Daniels. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Halard Hamby; sons and daughters-in-law: R.V. and Freda Hamby of Clarksville, Wayne Hamby of Rockwood, and Thurman and Nancy of Wartburg; daughters and sons-in-law: Diana and Terry Scarborough of Wartburg, and Kim and Daniel Barnes of Wartburg. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 15 great, grandchildren; sisters: Bonnie Bates, Faye Robbins, Ruth Scarborough, and Ellon Sue Human. She will be greatly missed by a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, April 1, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Reba was born on the 9th day of September, 1949, in Oliver Springs, TN. Before her retirement she served her country in the United States Air Force. Tommy D. Adcox, 76, of Hixson, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 27, 2011. Born in Coalfield, Tennessee and he graduated from Coalfield High School in 1952. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. Mr. Adcox was sales manager for Herb Adcox Chevrolet for over 60 years. He enjoyed attending car auctions in Nashville, Atlanta and Birmingham every week. Preceded in death by parents, Lloyd and Cecil Ruffner Adcox; three brothers, James Adcox, Dean Adcox and Raymond Adcox; nephew, Grant Adcox. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Katherine Walls Adcox; daughter Teresa and Buddy Trammell of Knoxville, Tennessee; son, Ken Adcox and Jim Bass of Alpharetta, Georgia; five precious grandchildren, Aaron, Katie, Kristin, Kathryn and Linda; brother Herb and Jean Adcox of Chattanooga; sister, Sandra Young; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 1 P.M. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Oliver Springs, Tennessee with Rev. Garvin Walls officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Smith, Jerry Smith, E.W. Haney, Clifford McCabe, Bill Camden and Mike Thomason.
