ARTHUR RIDDLE, age 84, of Dogwood Road, Rockwood, died Friday, December 31, 2010 at Parkwest Hospital, Knoxville, TN. Mr. Riddle was born January 21, 1926 in Morgan County, TN to Jesse and Artie Lear Sutton Riddle. Mr. Riddle attended Dogwood Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII; a member of Rockwood Lodge #403 F. & A. M.; a member of Operating Engineers Union Local # 917. Mr. Riddle retired from the TVA plant at Watts Bar as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Foreman. Mr. Riddle was preceded in death by his mother; and a brother, Ernest (Moe) Riddle. Survivors include: Wife: Virginia “Ginny” Riddle of Rockwood, TN Son: Terry Riddle & wife, Trish of Orlando, FL Daughters: Sandy Summers & husband, Harold of Pine Orchard Community; Lisa Layton & husband, Tim of Tullahoma, IN 8 Grandchildren: Nathan Riddle & wife, Brandie, Josh Riddle , Taylor Riddle, Jordan Riddle Adam Summers & wife, Maranda, Paul Summers & wife, Bobbie Lyn, Matt Layton, wife, Becky, Travis Layton 5 Great Grandchildren: Cheyenne & Cody Riddle, Anna, Joseph and Brody Summers Brother: Charles Riddle of Detroit, MI Sisters: Emma of Berea, KY, Nellie of Dahlonega, GA The family will receive friends, Saturday, January 1, 2011 from 6-8 pm EST at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, TN. The service will be held Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 11:00 am EST at Dogwood Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Umphrey officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
