I'm looking forward to being able to participate for the 5th time in the Komen Knoxville Race for the Cure and raising funds to support a world without breast cancer. Can I count on your support to assist me in my fundraising efforts? Please visit my Fundraising Page by using the link at the bottom of this email and help me reach my personal goal by making a secure online donation today... Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. The Knoxville Affiliate joins more than 100,000 breast cancer survivors and activists around the globe as part of the world's largest and most progressive grassroots network fighting breast cancer. You will automatically receive an acknowledgment from the Knoxville Affiliate and I will be notified by email of your support. Together we are truly making a difference in the fight against breast cancer! If you can't give, but know someone who can, please pass this on to them! You would be surprised to know how many people will give, if asked. Thank you very much for your consideration in helping me reach my fundraising goal! PS. 1. [TNMORGAN] Coverlid
    2. Hi List In the Coalfield Genealogical & Historical Newsletter dated 9-03 there is an article on a "coverlid". Margaret Morgan contributed it. It shows a picture of Tessie Scarbrough showing a Coverlid that dated back at that time to the Revolutionary War. It had been handed down through the years to family members... Now my question??? Does anyone know who or where this "Coverlid" is now? It would be great to see a color picture of this. I don't see a date on the article. 3. I would love to hear more about Morgan County. One set of my grandparents were from Oliver Springs/Coalfield. Jenny Russell (born 1889) and William Eugene Griffith (born 1892). Jenny's sister, Molly, married a Mr. Stonecipher (maybe much older than her and the postmaster) and had two sons who both died in their early 30's. The other set were Rev. Timothy Victor Peters (born 1885), Burrville, Oneida, Clinton, etc and Alleyna Talley (born 1889) Peters of southern Louisiana. It would be great to hear about living conditions, education available, and possible travel during their life times. My mother (one of ten children) Helen (born 1913) Peters taught school in several Morgan county schools including Coalfield. I would appreciate info about the school system or living conditions during her lifetime.
