    3. HUMPHREY, MR. DAVID SR., age 72 of Coalhill, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2011 with his family by his side. His smile and energetic spirit will be sadly missed. David attended Williams Chapel Baptist Church of Coalhill. Mr. Humphrey was born June 29, 1938 to Willis Reid and Lucille Humphreys of Coalhill. David was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Self Humphreys; father, Willis Reid Humphreys; brother, Reid Humphreys; and sister, Joyce Kring. He is survived by his faithful companion, Betty Hurst of Harriman; son, David Humphreys of Harriman; daughters: Melissa Collins and Renea Smith of Wartburg; step-son, Shane Hurst of Rockwood; sisters: Jo Ann Kring, Mary Freels, Connie Crass of Harriman, Francis Clark of Georgia, Peggy Hickman of Indiana, and Levona Hickman of Oakdale; brother, Jimmy Humphreys of Oakdale; 12 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. The family will receive Friday, January 21, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Sonny Johnson and Bro. Satterwaithe, two well known farmers of Sunbright, Tenn., quarreled over a dog of the former that had disappeared, Freel accusing Satterwaithe of killing the animal.     3. My own grandfather nearly died the same way, from a vicious injury in the sawmill where he worked near the Stearns KY area in 1905. Was rescued and nursed back to health by my CHITWOOD grandmother, (from Winfield TN) whom he ended up marrying. It makes me shudder every time I think of it. Nancy from Michigan "Marriage is grand.     3. SEABOLT, MRS. VIRDIE, age 84 of Sunbright, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 13, 2011. She attended the Sunbright Church of God of Prophecy, where she was known as one of the three sisters that attended the church, and enjoyed doing crafts and fellowshipping with other people. She was preceded in death by husband; Ralph Seabolt, parents, Linda and Virgle Shannon, sisters; Virgie Norris, Veachel Robbins and Vercie Peeno. Brothers Lonal, Lloyd and Lonnie Shannon. Grandchild; Jarred Ray Seabolt and great-great-granddaughter; Dakota Grace Crady. Mrs. Seabolt is survived by son; Gary Seabolt and wife Betty of Sunbright. He is also survived by a sister, Vera Jo Lynn of Harriman, by a sister-in-law, Betty Crowe of Dyllis, by a brother-in-law, Browder Kelley of Oliver Springs, and by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and special friends.     3. SHANNON, MR. JAMES O., age 72 of Sunbright went home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2011. He passed away at his home surrounded by his family and friends following a short illness with cancer. He was born August 11, 1938, the son of John M. and Gladys Young Shannon, the second son in a family of seven boys and one girl. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents: Zoe and Eliza Shannon and Arthur and Nola Young. He was also preceded in death by brothers: Vaughn L., Billy Ray, Elmer Lee, and Eugene; and by mother-in-law, Virgie Hamby. He had been a member of the Shannon Family Gospel Singers for most of his life and was an active member of the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Mill Creek until his illness began. He loved his church dearly. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ada Pemberton Shannon; one beloved daughter, Sharon Sexton and husband Paul of Sunbright; one very special granddaughter, Delisa and special friend, Richie; a very special grandson, Xavier; sister, Mary Ruth Hamby and husband, Ronald of Rockwood; brothers: Johnny and wife, Mary Lou of Sunbright, and Wayne and wife Sherill of Wartburg; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law: Carolyn Shannon of Sunbright, Betty Shannon of Sunbright, Janice Shannon of Oliver Springs, Emily Shannon of Wartburg, Sandra Frederick and husband, Bill of Muncie Indiana; and numerous other relatives and friends.     3. HENSLEY, MR. RAYMOND GLEN, age 81 of Petros, TN, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 3, 2011 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Raymond, better known as Glen, was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Glen was born October 6, 1929 in the New River Community to Raymond and Linda Hensley. He spent his childhood in New River and at the age of 18, Glen joined the Army and served with the 467th SACC engineering during the Korean War. He was married to Joanne Seamon for 55 years. Glen was employed for over 40 years as a foreman for Luby Leasing Trucking Company and later as a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Hensley is preceded in death by father Raymond Hensley, mother; Linda Hensley, wife, Joann Hensley, grandson, Brian Hensley, Sisters; Naomi Hensley and Virgie Mae Goodman. Glen is survived by sons; Russ Hensley and fiancée Mary Ann, Jerry Hensley and wife Sue and Roger Hensley, Wayne Hensley and wife Carol. Daughters; Teresa Hensley, Mary Lou and husband Ed, Linda and husband Charlie Kirby. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
