She was a member of the Petros Baptist Church and a 50 year member, and Past Worthy Matron of Sunrise OES No. 364 in Petros. During the 50’s and 60’s she operated the Petros Café, a family owned business. She retired from the State of Tennessee working previously at Lake Shore Mental Health Hospital in Knoxville and the Morgan County Regional Correctional Facility in Wartburg. Before becoming disabled she loved to play Bingo. SCHOOLER, MR. LANNY DRUE - age 74, of Sunbright, TN, passed away on February 1, 2011, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Lanny was born February 6, 1936 in Des Moines, IA. He grew up on a dairy farm in Carlisle, IA. Following graduation from Hartford High School in 1954, he moved to San Luis Obispo, CA, later moving to Morgan Hill, CA. He graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He began his career with Lockheed Aerospace in CA. He joined Martin-Marietta Aerospace in Denver, continuing in Orlando and Oak Ridge where he retired from Lockheed- Martin. Lanny was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of New Faith Lodge No. 768, F & AM, in Sunbright. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Kerbela Shriners, York Rite and was extremely proud of being a member of the Royal Order of Scotland. He also belonged to The Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Marshal at Sunbright No. 303 and as Worthy Patron at Oliver Springs No. 211, as well as Grand Instructor for District 35. Born on July 20, 1915, he was one of 11 children born to Wilhemine Christine Mehlhorn Heidel and Frederick Alexander Heidel.He was a life-long faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Wartburg and a prominent dairy farmer of the community. He is survived by his loving wife, Alma Liles Dyer. They celebrated 57 happy years together on May 15, 2010. He is also survived by a daughter, Vicki Cocherl and husband, Marc of Oak Ridge, by grandchildren; Robert Curry of Torrance, CA, Steven Fraley of Sevierville, TN, James Fraley currently serving in Afghanistan, Crystal Fraley of Barstow, CA and seven great-grandchildren. He participated in the following organizations; Horseless Carriage Club of America, San Diego Regional Group, Past President, San Diego Antique Bottle Club, Foothills of the Ozarks Antique Car Club, Antique Automobile Club of America, Walden Ridge Antique Car Club, Disabled American Veterans, National Group, Disabled American Veterans Tri-County Chapter # 26, a member of the Coalfield Genealogy and Historical Society, the Oak Ridge Elks Lodge # 1684 and the Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 26, 2011, between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 pm at Sharp Funeral Home. RICHARDSON, Walter J. age 89 passed away January 21, 2011 in Dayton, OH. Born in Morgan County, TN April 3, 1921, He was a US Army WWII veteran serving in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, and France. As a young man he was saved and baptized into the Pilot Mountain Baptist Church. He moved his family to Dayton, Ohio in 1954 where he retired from the US Post Office and Standard Oil Company in 1986 and moved to Gulfport, MS in 1988. He was a member of Michael Memorial Baptist Church in Gulfport. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Bessie Terry- Richardson; parents, Garfield Richardson of TX and Lanie Hooks of Morgan County, TN; brothers, Vonil, R.L., and Johnny Paul Richardson, C.O. Hooks; and sisters, Bertha Puryear and Georgia Vangel. He is survived by sons, Rev. James (Carol), Harold (Rhonda), Terry (Peggy) Richardson of Ohio; and daughter, Faye (Jack) Taylor of Gulfport, MS.; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great- grandchildren. BRANSTETTER, MR. WILLARD - age 72 of Deer Lodge, passed away Saturday January 22, 2011 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born August 21, 1938 to Menford and Addie Jones Branstetter. He was a life-long member of Deer Lodge Congregational Church and retired from the State of Tennessee in 1990 after 33 years of service. Willard enjoyed many activities and was a sports enthusiast. He coached Deer Lodge basketball which included each of his sons and was a Little League football coach at Sunbright. He loved fox hunting with his friend Loy Tompkins. Willard was avidly involved in community and church activities. He was active in the Deer Lodge 4th of July parade and was point person for reserving booths. He is preceded in death by parents, brother: Carl, brother-in-law: Cecil Bowmer, Father and mother-in-law; Carl and Martha Cromwell. Mr. Branstetter is survived by wife of 53 years; Jean Mae Cromwell Branstetter; sons, Bobby and wife Robin of Deer Lodge, Randy of Houston, TX, Mitchell and wife Margie of Lancing; grandchildren, Madison, JoBeth, Monte and Bobbie Jean; brothers and sisters, Katie Bowmer of Belleville, MI, Ross and wife Kathy of Deer Lodge, Jack and wife Brenda of Deer Lodge, half sister; Connie and husband Bob Brimi of Sunbright; step-father; Barney Walker of Deer Lodge; brothers-in-law; Harold Cromwell and wife Carol of Oak Ridge, Carl Cromwell and wife Linda of North Carolina. MR. WALTER ARLO, age 84 of Oakdale, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Shannondale Health Care Facility, Knoxville. He was a member and trustee of Piney Baptist Church and a former Sunday School Teacher and R.A. Leader. He was a World War II veteran, a retired machinist with Y-12, member of Lodge 680 for 50 years and was a Post Master, and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was also an avid outdoorsman and was dedicated to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Ida Mae Eble; brothers: Ira and Jimmy Eble; and daughter, Susan Ann Eble. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Doris Ann Eble; daughter and son-in-law: Melinda and Jeff Harwood; and granddaughter, Megan Ann Scott.
