    3. Larry N. Litton LITTON, LARRY N., age 80 of Kingston passed away Sunday April 3, 2011 at the Methodist Medical Center after a long illness. A decedent of two Tennessee Pioneer families. Mr. Litton was born in Morgan County but lived most of his life in Roane County. He was an amateur geologist, and was past president of the Litton Historical Society, he was a member of the committee that published the Roane County Heritage Book. In his younger years Mr. Litton was an adult leader of the Boy Scouts of America and a member of the Order of the Arrow. He was a founding member of the Three Rivers Ramblers Square Dancing Club and past president. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, and retired from Y-12 plant Laboratory as a Principle Technologists. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church of Kingston. Preceded in death by parents Alma and Ella Litton, mother of his children Glenna Sexton Litton, son Dallas Litton, brothers Freeman and Douglas Eugene Litton, sisters Mary M. Jonas, Lydia Hurst and Carol Taylor. Survivors include: Wife Caron W. Litton of Kingston; Daughter Rose Marie Litton of Rockwood; Son and daughter in law Blaine M. and Gloria Litton of Kingston. Funeral 8pm Thursday April 7, 2011 in the Kyker Chapel with Rev. Gary Rolen officiating. Burial 10am Friday at Willard Park Cemetery with Military Honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard.     3. ADKINS, MR. LOWELL MILLER, age 70, born October 24, 1940, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 1, 2011, at his home in the Chestnut Ridge Community, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by father, Joe Adkins. Mr. Adkins is survived by loving wife of 51 years, Wanda Hammond Adkins Children; Becky and husband Robert Jones, Teresa and husband Joe Draper of Clarkrange, Roger and wife Gwenna Adkins, Sadia and husband Mark Branstetter and Joseph Adkins of Deer Lodge Mother, Mabel Branstetter Adkins; Sister Portia and husband Billy Davis; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend, Lowell will be sadly missed by all. The family will receive friends Monday April 5, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg.     3. Tommy D. Adcox, 76, of Hixson, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 27, 2011. Born in Coalfield, Tennessee and he graduated from Coalfield High School in 1952. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. Mr. Adcox was sales manager for Herb Adcox Chevrolet for over 60 years. He enjoyed attending car auctions in Nashville, Atlanta and Birmingham every week. Preceded in death by parents, Lloyd and Cecil Ruffner Adcox; three brothers, James Adcox, Dean Adcox and Raymond Adcox; nephew, Grant Adcox.     3. BARGER, TOM B., 72, a resident of Harriman, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Mr. Barger was born October 19, 1938 in Wartburg. His family moved to Roane County and following his high school graduation from Harriman High School, class of 1956, he entered into the United States Marine Corp. While enlisted he served his country in the Marine Corp Flag Corp and Honor Guard at both the Arlington National Cemetery and the United States Capitol in Washington, DC. Following his military discharge he enrolled at Carson Newman College and received his degree. He later entered into Pharmacy School at the University of Tennessee in Memphis and following his graduation he was employed as a pharmacist in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas moving back to Tennessee in 1992 and retiring from CVS Pharmacy. Tom was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church, a caring, considerate and compassionate man who would help anyone he found in need. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Daisy Hembree Barger, by a son, Galen Barger, by brothers; Sam and C.R. Barger, by a sister-in-law, Mary Barger, who affectionately called him "Brother", and by a special friend, Betty Hendrickson. Any pictures or descriptions would be greatly appreciated. Also, operators other than Noah Buck, who I understand built the mill, and when it was last in operation.     3. My husband's mother was Susan Jane Langley Liles from Wartburg. Her mom was Mary B. Reynolds Langley who supposedly came from Scott County. She died shortly after a brush fire incident near Jackson Mountain in the Coalfield area after her skirt caught fire. I would love to have more information on these Langley's too.
