    3. HI Cathy, Since you meantioned marriages of the Hendrix's to the Hall's, do you also know that Rachel Hendix married Mitchel Childress. He was the husband of Hanna Webb (Daughter of John Webb and Ursley ?) They married March 15, 1815 in Knox Co. Tn. Small world.............. When I go to enter a new name to my data base, I have to keep checking the index for the person, to keep from duplicating names or numbers. These cousins keeping marrying each others spouses or widows! Linda At 07:21 PM 12/14/03 -0500, you wrote: >PROUD WIFE OF TENNESSEE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD SGT. 1. [TNMORGAN] Online Morgan Co. Marriage Index
    2. Georgeanne McPeters
    3. I had forgotten about this myself - but there is a way to access a FREE index to Morgan Co., TN marriages. I am not certain of the years - but they are mainly the late 1860s to the 1890s, if I remember correctly. Access the LDS IGI search site from the link below: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_I GI.asp&clear_form=true Enter Region as North America, Enter the Country as United States, and the State as Tennessee. Then be certain to enter the following number as the batch number: M519582 You can search on the surname, or even the given name. If the names of the bride and groom were misspelled on the original record, the index will list them the same way. Also - in the 1870s I have found initials only for given names - so don't be disappointed, just try again. You can also list all marriages by not entering any given name or surname. Have fun! Georgeanne

    3. Thanks Linda, This helps a lot. My info on Ursley (Ustley) came from LDS Family Search and sometimes the info is not documented very well. They are in the process of offering discs with the source info, but it will take awhile to process. The Church has an incredible wealth of information which is just now being accessible without a lot of paper work. 1. [TNMORGAN] Rachel ASHER, wife of Squire Justice
    2. Georgeanne McPeters
    3. Anyone have any information on Rachel? Based on her giving birth to Abraham JUSTICE in about 1834, she was probably born about 1810-1814, give or take a few years. I have Elijah ASHER/ASHERT/ASHURST born about 1813, died after June 1, 1860. He was married to 1) Mary aka Polly HALL, daughter of Samuel C. HALL and Lucy (Jane) LAYMANCE; and 2) Charlotte HAMBY, daughter of John HAMBY and Eady WEBB. Anyone have a connection between Elijah and Rachel? He is definitely a brick wall for me. I have speculated he is connected to the John ASHURST family of Anderson Co., TN but I cannot prove this! Georgeanne
