Hi Veronica, Hope you had a great holiday. I know that Beech Fork is in the Joyner Community, near the Old Kelly house. I think it has a lot of Wilsons and Stoneciphers in it. I think it was a Stonecipher who was first buried there. Someone else was asking about it not too long ago. I'll have to check back to see who it was. Veronica, Beechfork is just past Union Baptist Church on the right as you go to Wartburg. Are you aware that there is a very old cemetary close to you? It is behind the OLD barn on our road. You were right. Howard was Cliffords father. Howard also had a son named after Marion. Marion Eldon Justice, who lives in Friendsville. Donna
Does anyone know where the Beech Fork Cemetery is?????? Thanks in advance, Veronica Schaar www.geocities.com/morgancountycemeteries
Hey List! Just wanted to give a quick update. I haven't forgotten about the cemeteries page www.geocities.com/morgancountycemeteries, I've been extremely busy not only with the holidays but even with the flu shot my 17 month old still got the flu. He's better now, so will be working more on the page. Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season. I do have one cemetery I will be posting that is was a treasure for me to find, a distant cousin took me to the gravesite of my gggggrandmother -- Sarah Russell Justice, which ended up being in someone's back yard. I didnt get the name of the gentleman but he was sooo very nice and has taken good care of the cemetery. There was lots of fieldstone markers and very few with actual names on them. I got pictures of a few of the marked stones, not all of them though. I'll be making a trip back, soon I hope. The man said it was called the Allen Cemetery, but the marked stones are mostly Russell's and Braden's. I've got pictures that have been sent to me by some of you that will be posted, and have pics of Coal Hill and Liberty to post as well. Can't wait till the weather gets warmer!!! Have a Happy New Year!!!! Veronica

PROUD WIFE OF TENNESSEE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD SGT. CURRENTLY ON TRAIN UP FOR DEPLOYMENT FOR KOSOVO. Hi Gerry, The Zachary Taylor that you found in the 1850 census is the same one that I listed. He was the son of John and Mary Williams Hall. His wife in the cemetery book is listed as being Clovie, daughter of Samuel. His wife is listed as you said as Nancy in the 1880 Census. If you go back and look at the 1870 census, Zachary has only aged 6 years. They either wrote the age down wrong, or whoever gave them the information told them wrong. I have Nancy listed as Nancy Caroline also. This is because one census lists her as Nancy the other lists her as Caroline. They may have called her Clovie because of the Caroline, or there maybe two Zachary Taylors.I haven't seen another one though,so your guess is as good as mine.LOL Cathy

Hi again, Could Zachery T. possibly be the one listed as the son of John and Mary , three years old, in the 1850 Morgan County Census? Also, have you seen the 1880 Federal Census on Zachery and Nancy? It shows several more children. The only problem is the ages of this Zachery and Nancy do not match the birthdates. However it does show a Dora, age 3. She attended a one room school for 3 years. The Grant family moved to Parkersburg after Mr. Grant, an employee of the C&O Railroad, built the family home there. As a young girl, Ruth made the decision to attend college. She was the first member of her family to do so. Despite her family's poverty and the economic hardship of the depression, Ruth financed her education at Bluefield College, and Marshall College, where she received her BA degree in 1939. She met her future husband, Charles J. Barton, Sr., the same year in Huntington, West Virginia, and they were married the following year. Hi Linda, First, thanks for the papers you sent me. They are a great help. I have Mary J. Webb, daughter of Lewis and Ruby, married to James McGuffey on 2 Nov 1867 in Morgan County. Don't have my references right now, but I probably got it from the Morgan County Marriage Records. I will check it out. All I have on Nancy is what you have on her birth, however, I have her name as Caroline Nancy. I will check that too. Thanks again for the mail. Cathy, Sorry I haven't gotten back to you. I've been down with the flu but I did receive the copies of the Pension and I appreciate it greatly. Hopefully, I can repay you in the future. Also, how did you get a copy of Million's will. I would really like to have a copy for my records.
