Adeline was the daughter of Hiram (Stiram) Cromwell/Crumwell and various other spellings, and Henrietta Solomon. Don't have any info on Henrietta Solomon at all other than she may have been born about 1802. Hiram Cromwell was born in VA in about 1790, the son of Charles Boothe Cromwell and Mary E. Crabtree Cromwell. Hiram was a brother to Jon/Johnson or sometimes called John J. Cromwell, my late husband's ancestor. As far as I can tell, Hiram and his wife Henrietta both died in Roane Co., TN. Julie

That was information given to me by a T.K. McCartt. This was a man who was traveling through Morgan Co and Scott Co gathering names for McCartt Family. He gave me a lot of info. Sharon helped me with it. Telling which was true and which was not. Then Sharon gave me some info. I don't know which one gave me the info that Adeline was a HAMBY by birth. I know what you had was a fact. But, it did surprise me to think she was a Hamby. Don't know that much about either of these lines, trying to look this up in Census Records. Best thing for us to do, is get in touch with Sharon, she would know. At 04:01 PM 2/17/2004 -0500, you wrote: >Edna >Adeline Stonecipher McCartt was the daughter of Samuel C.
