Can someone in Knoxville tell me who the operator of Schubert Funeral Home? I had two great aunts who married Schubert brothers - Saul and Nicholas "Nick". I'm curious if the Schubert Funeral Home folks are kin? Bob Wallace

Hi all, I have found and confirmed a daughter for S. S. (aka Sampson "Squire") McPETERS and Ettie McCARTT. S. S. McPETERS married Ettie (Etta Clementine) McCARTT on 21 March 1882 in Morgan Co., TN. She was the daughter of James Madison McCARTT and Rebecca LEWELLEN. Squire McPETERS was the son of Leroy McPETERS and Siloma Ann JUSTICE. Although I do not have a date of divorce for Squire and Ettie, I am assuming they divorced in Morgan Co., TN between 1882 and 1884. Sampson then married Martha JACKSON (daughter of Lindsey JACKSON and Anna HATFIELD) on 26 March 1889 in Morgan Co., TN. From his headstone in Union Baptist Church Cemetery, S. S. McPETERS was born 1 Aug 1856 and died 30 April 1891. I do not know of any children for this couple. Martha JACKSON McPETERS married (2nd) John L. McNEAL on 02 October 1892 in Morgan Co., TN. This couple is found in Morgan Co., TN in the 1900 census. Ettie McCARTT married (2nd) Calvin Russell (C.R.) BAIRD, M.D. on 01 June 1884 in Morgan Co., TN. This couple can be found in Campbell Co., TN in the 1900 census. I had initially thought that Squire McPETERS had died without issue. But I have found that he and Ettie had a daughter, Bessie Alice McPETERS born 17 April 1883 (although the 1900 census has a DOB of April 1884). She married George Flemon ALLEN (son of Hiram Joseph ALLEN and Mary Jane LAY) on 25 November 1897 in Campbell Co., TN. They are found in Campbell Co., TN in the 1900 census. If you are connected in some way to the McPETERS, I'd love to hear from you! We have started a McPETERS mailing list. Please consider joining and sharing your connection to the McPETERS! http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/surname/m/mcpeters.html Millie, please feel free to post this to the CAMPBELL Co., TN list. Hope you find this of interest! Georgeanne
