From a brief record left by one son they were in Morgan Co., TN between 1810 and 1820. They seem to have remained for less than ten years because they reached Illinois by 1827. Bob Foster

Iresearch the Shannon bloodline and saw your query. So I looked through my records and I found a copy of a newpaper article insert that was discussing John Frank Shannon and children. In the article it stated that John Frank had married three (3) times, with two of them being sisters and then Winnie Breedlove. Then I looked through the marriage records that I have. John married: 1st Amanda Thompson -8/1878 - 4/24/1904 on 5/10/1898in Morgan County. She is buried in the Liberty Cemetery. 2nd Isadora Thompson - 10/10/1882-6/20/1913 on 10/12/1904. She is a sister to the 1st wife. She is buried in the Liberty Cemetery. 3rd Winnie Breedlove I hope this answered your question. Good Luck.
