One sister and brother-in-law: Becky and Stanley Jones all of Harriman. His ex-wife: Betty Boduch of Kingston. One aunt: Ruby Buntz. One uncle: Arlan Voyles both of Oakdale. Three nieces: Stephanie, Miranda and Crystal. One nephew: Jeremy. One great niece, two great nephews and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.     3. STONECIPHER, MR. N.J. - born April 1, 1938 in Petros, TN, passed away Saturday June 12, 2010 at his home in Harriman. He was retired from ORNL in 2000 after 30 years, of service. He was a fan of U.T. Football and served as an Usher in section D, for over 30 years. He was employed at White Stores Inc. for 13 years. He loved to square dance and made several good friends doing this. He was preceded in death by parents, Nath and Tressie Stonecipher; sister, Kathleen Stonecipher Hill and husband, Kenneth Hill; foster brother, Curtis Wilson; nephews, K.W. and Karrey Hill; father and mother-in-law, Reid and Addie Sexton. Mr. Stonecipher is survived by wife, of 52 years, Carolyn Sexton Stonecipher; son, Nathan Keith Stonecipher; sister, Ethel Grasmuck, of Burnswick, Maine; sister-in-law, Ella Ruth Wilson, of Jefferson City; brothers-in-law, Robert Sexton (Francis) and Joe R. Sexton (Janet); and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, June 14, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg.     3. WEST, ANNA LAURA, age 91, a resident of Oliver Springs, died Monday, June 7, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Mrs. West was born in the upper camp of Windrock Mountain and she grew up on American Knob. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a faithful Christian and a member of the Big Mountain Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Lively and Rose Mary Reynolds Lively, by a son, Randall West, by a granddaughter, Vanessa Rose Gouge, by a son-in-law, Rev. Jerry Gouge, by brothers; Ramsey, Elmer and Lewis Lively and by sisters; Lottie West, Lucredia Pride, Ruby Aslinger, Martha Gibson, Mary Lou Morgan and Willie Byrge. She is survived by 10 children, James Ray West and wife Glenna of Wartburg, Nella Ann Reynolds of Oliver Springs, Mary Lee Russell and husband, Donald Rayof Oliver Springs, William Roy West of Windrock, Beatrice Mae Gouge of Coalfield, Cathia Sue Russell and husband, Eugene of Oak Ridge, Robert Joe West of Knoxville, Michael Daniel West of Coalfield, Donnie Junior West of Windrock and Eddie Dean West and wife, Janie of Harriman, by a special nephew, Richard Gibson of Windrock, by 23 grandchildren, and by 34 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by mother; Lottie West, father; Eather Byrge, step-mother; Stella Byrge, sister; Mary Lou Morgan and nephew; Carlos Butler. Mr. Byrge is survived by daughter and son-in-law; Melissa and David Faobian, Three grandchildren; Joey Rickett, Haley and Allison Faobion of Knoxville, Step-father; Eaw West of Georgia. School System as the Librarian at Central Elementary in Wartburg, Tn. She received a Bachelors degree and a Master Degree in Education from the University of Tennessee, and her Librarian Certification. She is preceded in death by husband; Curtis Ray Gasaway, parents; Raymond and Anna Ruth Buttrum Hunter. Surviving; Daughter; Candace Cox, of Coalfield. Grand children; Dale Goodwin of Cookeville and Holly Goodin, of Coalfield Brothers; Danny Hunter, of Coalfield and Reece Hunter, of Petros; Sister; Elaine Hunter, of Petros many nieces and nephews and will be especially missed by her very special childhood and lifelong friend Peggy Green, who she was blessed to have at her side when she went to the Lord. Judy was very well loved by all who were blessed to have her in their lives. She was beautiful, smart and very funny. Bobby was born on the 13th day of April, 1954 in Oliver Springs. Bobby owned and operated a carpet cleaning company and in his spare time he enjoyed lawn care, auto care, camping and being a couch potato. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Burnett, by a brother, Terry Wayne Burnett and by his grandparents; Ed and Willie Mae Carson and Clay and Bonnie Blankenship.     3. BATES, MILFORD FORD, age 78, a resident of Talking Rock, GA, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta. Mr. Bates was born on the 13th day of April, 1932 in Morgan County. He continued to live in Coalfield and Oliver Springs until his move to Georgia in 2000.Milford was the owner and operator of Bates Landscaping. He also worked in construction as a brick mason. He was a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church. He was a loving father and his grandchildren were the love of his life. Mr. Bates was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Bates Sr. and Annie Mae Luttrell Bates, by brothers; Leslie Bates, Elvert L.C. Bates and John Wesley Bates Jr. and by a infant sister, Thelma Faye Bates. JUSTICE, ALMA LEE, a resident of the Dyllis Community in Roane County, was welcomed home into the arms of our Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 31, 2010 at the Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville. Mrs. Justice was born at home in Coalfield on the 31st day of January, 1928. She continued to live in Coalfield until her move to the Beech Fork Community of Morgan County in 1973. She has lived in Dyllis for the past 5 years. She was an avid flower gardener and people came from miles around to see her flower gardens. Moms prayers were that no souls would be lost for the devil to claim. She was a strong person always saying the Lord would never allow more to be placed upon you than you are able to withstand. Alma was preceded in death by her husbands, Blain Justice and Bob Butler, by daughters, Emma Louise Justice and Anita Faye Kelly, by her parents, Dempse and Pearl Ruffner Edwards, by a brother, Ott Edwards, by a grandson, Timothy Perry by grandparents, Dave and Bertha Walls Ruffner and by a nephew, Anthony Long. Mom loved her five little girls and talked with such love of all the time spent together. As a mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend she left us with so many good memories that she will live in our hearts forever. She is survived by her husband, Verlin Sweat of Dyllis, by daughters; Melissa Renee Massengill and husband, Curtis of Petros, Nancy Yvonne Perry and husband, Roger of Joyner, and Sarah Elaine Brown and husband, Donald of Oliver Springs, by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren a niece and two nephews. Alma's dear sister Otella Long of Lenoir City was more than a sister. They were best friends who shared their hard times and their dreams. A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Estes Cemetery in Coalfield, TN. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Correctional Facility in Petros and a coal miner. He was an owner and operator of several restaurants. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Patterson Wilson. He is survived by sons: Hurley Wilson of Wartburg and Anthony Wilson of Oak Ridge; grandchildren: Erica Wilson of Coalfield, Tiffany Reynolds of Coalfield and Tameka Lowe of Wartburg; grandson: Logan Stout of Lancing; and several brothers and sisters.
